Squidoo's Unofficial 2009 Calendar **A continuing work in progress
For all of my fellow Lensmasters, and everyone at HQ, this is for you. Refer to it often, heed it's Squid-like wisdom. Legend has it that Seth Godin Himself has chuckled over this calendar (*gasp!)
The Calendar looks ragged only because it was found under a rock next to Squidoo HQ, and is said to have been left there by our Squid ancestors. It is not the table, but what the table contains which is important.
January 2009- National Leave it to Beaver Month, Writer Suicide Prevention Month, Be kind to Editors Month
January is the time for new beginnings. Commit to making this a successful year, personally, and professionally. While I can't help you with the personal part, I can offer some tips to help make this your best year ever on Squidoo!
Do your best, learn from the best, and remember that positive thoughts lead to positive results.
Week 1 (Jan 1st-Jan 3rd)
Visit at least 5 lenses this week. Lenses of OTHER lensmasters! Comment and rate
Week 2 (Jan 4th-Jan 10th):
Pick a new charity to write a lens for, then start that lens. Finish it if you can. *If you have a regular charity, try choosing a new one, just for this lens
Important dates this week:
Jan 4th- Take a wallet to lunch day
Jan 6th- Refer to everyone as "Midge" day
Jan 10th- Stalk yourself Day
Week 3 (Jan 11th-Jan 17th)
Sign up for at least 2 new affiliate programs. Choose wisely, and incorporate them into a new lens.
Jan 14th-Buy a cheesecake (but don't eat it) day
Jan 15th- Eat that cheesecake already! Day
Week 4 (Jan 18th-Jan 24th)
Learn a new HTML or CSS trick to enhance your lenses. Try them out!
Jan 19th- Squidnational "Hiss at your cat" Day
Jan 23rd- Angel appreciation day...show them some love!
Week 5 (Jan 25th-Jan 31st)
Reach for the stars! If you are not yet one, try to become a giant squid. If you are a giant, try for the 100 club, if you are there, see if you can become an angel...you get the idea.
Jan 27th- Adopt a moderator day

Week 1: (Feb 1st-Feb 7th)
Update all of your social networking profiles. Add new information, and delete the old. Start a new lens about something outside of your niche.
Feb 2nd: Blink repeatedly day
Feb 6th: Squidnational befriend a new squid day
Week 2: (Feb 8th-Feb 14th)
Start thinking about your St. Patrick's day lens, if you intend to make one (hint, hint). Visit the boards at least 4 times this week
Feb 12th: Tell everyone you see that you wish Cindy wasn't such a witch. (Cindy is my sister...we don't get along!)
Week 3: (Feb 15th-Feb 21st)
Read at least 2 "How to Squidoo" lenses that you have not read. Incorporate what you learn into a lens.
Feb 19th: Watch a cartoon day
Week 4: (Feb 22nd-Feb 28th)
Redo one lens that you think should have done better. See if it flies the second time around with your enhancements
Feb 24th: Squidnational thank a moderator day

March 2009: Give a leprechaun a break Month, Peanut butter and jelly Month, Celebrate insanity Month
March is when we, in the US anyway, begin to see the signs of Spring. A flower may begin to emerge from the ground, the sounds of birds chirping increases, and the bleakness of winter begins to melt away.
Week 1: Mar 1st-7th:
Spring clean your lenses. Get the old advertising out, the old links, and put in fresh.
Week 2: Mar 8th-14th:
Go through some commons sites and find some fresh pictures to use now, or to keep for reference. Remember "copyright."
Week 3: Mar 15th-28th:
Do some serious work on your top 3 lenses. Check your tags, give it a health check. Start at least 1 new lens
Week 4: Mar 29th-Apr 3rd
Build a lens backwards (APRIL FOOLS!) Start another charity lens
