Squidoo Angels, Keeping Squidoo Clean and Rewarding Great Lensmasters!
Squidoo Angels have a huge responsibility on their shoulders, and that is to keep Squidoo clean. Not only can Angels bless a lens that's a remarkable piece of work, but they can ding a bad lens that doesn't deserve to be seen.
You don't need to be a Giant Squid to get an Angel blessing, but that might help. It also helps if you've spent a lot of time on your lens, and if you're knowledgable on the topic. And lastly, you should be out there promoting your lens so others can see it! Lenses in the Top 100 of a category are much more likely to be seen by Squid Angels. Stop by the SquidU forums to ask for a blessing, but first, consider asking for a critique in the "critique me" forum.
Also, if you have a lens that you'd like me to look at and potentially bless, you can leave the URL in this lens and I'll drop by and see if it's blessing worthy. I'll do my best to stop by as soon as possible! I specialize in the topics of animals/nature, shopping, movies and TV, local, and business.

Things I Look for in an Angel Blessing Worthy Lens
Criteria for a masterpiece!
Is your lens really a masterpiece, or is just good? Ask yourself, does this lens fall into the top 5% of lenses in terms of quality on Squidoo? A masterpiece lens will have purpose, often be beautifully illustrated, and be the best lens on that topic on Squidoo. These lenses are Angel blessing worthy.
* Dynamic, original pages that grabs my attention from the start.
* Proper English without typos and misspellings
* A great introductory photo uploaded to the lens
* Customized module titles
* A simple, easy to read format
* Attractive visually
* Tells a captivating story that enthralls me from beginning to end
* Sales modules and links are hand picked and filled out
* Has a guestbook or other form of interaction with the Squidoo community
Some Examples of Great Lenses that I've Blessed:

Tips for Writing Blessing Worthy Lenses
An Angel will be more likely to give you a thumbs up if you...
* Write about what you know! You'll be more passionate, interested and attentive on a topic that you care about, and it will come through to your readers.
* Plan out your lens before you write it. What is the goal? What will the lens look like? Where will traffic be coming from?
* Customize your bio and upload a picture to the bio. Also, an introduction photo is a must.
* The lens uses a variety of modules or HTML/CSS to make the lens more attractive visually... but don't overdo it!
* Search Squidoo to see if a lens on the topic already exists. If the topic is taken, dig deeper into the topic, or make it remarkably different and unique.
* Avoid spamming guestbooks, link plexos, and forums. I just wasted my time typing that probably.
* Give back to the Squidoo community by featuring other lensmasters' lenses.
* Sparingly ask for blessings in the Squidu forums. Remember, not all of your lenses will be blessing worthy!
* Get your lens out there! If Angels can't find your lens, they can't bless it. So, link to your lens, ask for a critique in the SquidU forums, and sometimes ask for a blessing.
upload an intro photo!
If you don't have an intro photo and guestbook on your lens, you're far less likely to receive a blessing. The intro photo tells readers visually what the lens will be about, and will be featured on the top 100 lens list (if your lens is in the top 100 for your subject). Try making your own photo!
