How to use HTML and CSS on a Squidoo lens

The Squidoo lens text module is not just for plain old text. You can also use HTML and CSS to create borders, backgrounds and much more to make your lenses more interesting. But if you do not know how to use the code, how can you learn how to use HTML or CSS on a Squidoo lens?

You could buy the very helpful book HTML for Dummies off Amazon, or you could learn for free - from other Squidoo Lensmasters. Or you could do both - which is what I do!

The Squidoo Answer Deck has some very helpful lenses that will teach you how to use HTML and CSS on your lenses, so read on and get creative!

What is HTML? HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is the predominant markup language for web pages and provides a means to create structured documents by using specific code for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes and other items.

HTML allows images and objects to be embedded and can be used to create interactive forms. It is written in the form of HTML elements consisting of "tags" surrounded by angle brackets within the web page content.
