What If ALL of Squidoo Came To Visit YOUR Charity Lens... All On the Same Day?
The donation structure at Squidoo makes it really simple to donate to the very worthwhile causes that are represented in the Squidoo Charity lineup.
What do you think could happen if the entire community of Squidoo showed up on your Charity doorstep? Wouldn't it be cool to find out?
Incredible things happen when passionate and creative people begin to talk about the matters of social responsibility. The world has more than it's fair share of nay-sayers; so it's exciting to watch when a group of optomistic activists get their heads together.
Incredible things can happen for charities who are connected to Squidoo, because this is a community that is filled to overflowing with optomistic activists!
No job is too big for this special group of world changers...
Squidoo lensmasters are the kind of people who scoff at feeble attempts to dampen their creative spirits, or squelch their can-do attitudes, so I just know we can do a fantastic job of developing this virtual charity parade!!
What Would You Do If You Had A Date Announcing That A Parade Of Thousands Was Heading For YOUR Charity Front Door?
I get goose bumps just thinking about the possibilities. Are you in need of volunteers? Do you need working capital? Do you need furniture, food or clothing donations? Could you use some help with services that your charity provides for the needy?
Help with hair care, automobile or household repairs can be easily enlisted if kind-hearted hair stylists, auto mechanics or contractors know that you need their help.
Imagine how you would feel if you had the opportunity to share your thoughts, hopes, plans and dreams for your organization with every single member of the Squidoo community. That would be the day to have a fully loaded wish list ready to share with your visitors!
How would you tell us about what you have planned for your organization? The design options for lensbuilding are endless, so how would you decorate your front door for a gala of massive proportion?
Would you use pictures, video, or create an Animoto presentation?
Would you opt for a Squid Who, or use an Ever Project?
Would you use the default lens theme, or spice up your presentation with the Purple People Eater theme?
Do you have photos of the work you have done in the past?
Do you have blueprints, artwork or sketches of your plans for the future?
Think of how much fun you could have putting together a presentation that would rock the socks off your fellow lensmasters!
The Adrenaline Is Mounting
So, why don't we give it a try, and see what kind of miracles we can make happen for the Executive Directors and Fundraisers who work so hard to fund the work of their organizations?
I love an organizational challenge, so I'm excited about developing an event that could have far reaching impact for so many people. I've always loved to plan parties, but I've learned even more about project management since I've become a Squidoo lensmaster.
The key component to a successful virtual event is to KEEP IT SIMPLE! With that in mind, let's get on with the details about how you can join me in creating a spectacular parade of lensmasters who would be willing to visit the headquarters of our very own, very worthy Squidoo Charities.

The Tour Was Sparked By Seth's Blog Post: What Should I Do On Your Birthday?
Make A Difference Day
The Squid Team Honors Seth's Birthday
-
Happy Birthday, Seth!
-
Here at Squidoo, we're inspired by Seth every day. And we're not the only ones. Not by a long shot. People who read his blog, pick up his books, hear his speeches, read his lenses, meet him on the street... hundreds and hundreds of thousands of peo...

A (Virtual) Tour Brochure Will House The Tour Dates, Schedule & Special Announcements
A community toolbar will make it simple for all of us to coordinate our journeys so that we all arrive on the doorstep of the same charities, on the same days.
(The toobar download is located in the next module)
Can't you just see it? The entire staff will be hovered around their computers with everyone logged in to watch their Squidoo dashboards. Hmmm, there's another great idea for a follow-up lens.
Just set up a video camera to capture the excitement as everyone watches while the number of their visitors climbs higher and higher throughout the day.
The Squidoo Charity Open House Tour could be the perfect opportunity for your charity to sponsor an open house at your location... what fun to capture photos, videos and speeches while the dashboard of your Squidoo account is ticking away!
Press releases and announcements to local newspapers could be used to engage local participation in our endeavor to raise awareness about the work of your agency. The first year's tour might not be the best time for this much attention; but what if this parade became really, really popular? The Squidoo parade to your front door could become the event of the season in YOUR community.
You little charity minded, optomistic activist, you...
You look good in the glow of doing good for others!
Here's Your Squidoo Charities Open House Tour Brochure...

The Charity Tour Provides The Opportunity For Us To Double The Impact Of Our Participation
I love traditions, new and old! Wearing blue on Friday's is a tradition that is being established to celebrate those who serve in our Armed Forces. The men and women of the American military are so much more than worthy of our appreciation for their efforts to defend our freedom.
We have the ability to live our lives in safety because they put themselves in harms way... every single time they go to work. Learn more about Blue Friday, and then let's make it the signature color of The Squidoo Charity Open House Tour!
