Squidoo Community

Fifty lenses at Squidoo is a huge milestone because it means you qualify to apply for the Giant Squid programme. Given that this is such an important lens I wanted it to be a bit different and to be relevant to Squidoo.

I talk about what Squidoo has DONE for me on My Squidoo Story and I have often commented what Squidoo MEANS to me in Blogs, but I have never made a lens about it.

However, then I got thinking that a lot of lenses are published about what things mean to each of us as individuals but given that Squidoo is a COMMUNITY, I thought it would be good to do a "we" lens, rather than a "me" lens.

I love that I can write about
anything and someone, somewhere,
will find it of interest.

There's lots of places on and off Squidoo where you can find out what is going on in the Squidoo Community but for me if you need help or just want to find out the latest news, then The SquidU Forum is definitely the place to hang out.

When I was planning this lens, I started a thread asking other Lensmasters what they love about Squidoo. Their responses are on this lens.

I love that no matter what mood I'm in
there is something I can do.
If I want to create, I create a lens.
If I am emotional, I write to
deal with the emotions,
then turn it into a lens.
If I am happy, I can socialize.
If I am curious or want to learn
I can visit and read other lenses.
The diversity is wonderful!

I am very proud to be an Author on SquidLog, which in my view is the best Squidoo-related website you could possible find.

SquidLog is the brainchild of two great Lensmasters: Squidster and Chef Keem, who I am proud to call my friends.

The site is full of articles, which are aimed at helping Lensmasters be the best Lensmasters thay can possibly be but what I love the most about it, is that it is such a great Squidoo Community.

An example of what a great place SquidLog is can be found on the page that was published for my birthday.

Squidoo Lens Reviews is the website of GrowWear - also known as MiMi. MiMi is a classic example of a Lensmaster who spends so much time promoting other Lensmasters and their Lenses that she sometimes forgets to make lense herself!
