Some Ideas for the Squidoo Dashboard
Making the Squidoo Dashboard Easier to use
Which of these Dashboard Improvements do you think is most important? Vote it to the top. If any of these suggestions are implemented, I'll add them to the list of 'completed features'.
Sort Lenses by Category
Just like <a href="http://squidutils.com">SquidUtils</a> does...6 points
One Screen Lens Creation
Being able to create a lens from a one-page 'wizard' instead of the current 4 page form would be very nice4 points
Groups, Folders, and Tags
Some kind of management system that would let you see subsets of lenses instead of all of your lenses at once would be fantastic.4 points
Aggregate Click Through Reporting
I want to see total click throughs on a group of lenses or on all of my lenses at once for a specified time period instead of having to go into each lens one by one.4 points
Lens Module Templates
I don't like the 4 pre-set module designs. Can I design my own and save them? This would save at least 5-20 minutes per lens in set-up time so more time could be spent generating content.3 points
Copy/move module from one lens to another
I would like to copy or move a module from one lens to another lens. A big help if splitting a large lens to more small lenses.3 points
Multi-variable search and sort
Example: I want to be able to search for lenses with at least X visitors in the last 7 days AND a Lensrank of between 5,000 and 15,0002 points
Total Lens Backup
Can I download the XML files for ALL of my lenses as one ZIP file? This should be pretty easy to do..2 points
Groups Lens Belongs In
I'd like to somehow see how many groups an individual lens belongs to. I am realizing that with some of my older lenses, I never got around to enrolling them in groups. Doing so could improve their lens rank.2 points
Power User Mode
After a lensmaster has X lenses on his/her dashboard, they would have the option to switch to a 'power user' mode with more features. This would save server juice and give a little 'bonus' to lensmasters with lots of lenses.1 point
Edit Tags from Dashboard
Adding, removing and editing tags from the dashboard would save time and let you see more data at once. This would be another big time saver.1 point
Sort by Primary Tag
Primary Tags can be very powerful when used correctly. However, there is no way to view what primary tags you have for all of your lenses in one place.1 point
Lens Daily Earnings reports
How about a report that shows which lenses earned commissions yesterday and what affiliates earned the commission? Reporting for longer time periods would get extra bonus points for HQ.1 point
Saved Plexo List
Say I wanted to create a lens about each one of the features on this list and use this plexo on each lens. A 'Saved Plexo' list would let me easily input plexos into lenses instead of having to keep multiple tabs open for the purpose of 'grabbing' lists.1 point
Easier Co-Brand Creation
On the one-page lens creation wizard of my dreams, there would be a drop down to select which co-brand (if any) to use when creating the lens.1 point
Members of Fan Club on Dashboard
I would like to see who belongs to my fan club from my dashboard. I like to visit their lenses, rate them, and join their fan club. Right now you have to visit your lens, then your profile to find them.1 point
One-Click Publishing
Keeping up with publishing lenses is becoming a huge time pit with hundreds of lenses. In effect, having to 'refresh' lenses puts those with lots of lenses at a disadvantage.0 points
Patchwork Fixes
Dashboard Tools for Lensmasters
While some of these features may come along eventually, there are a few tools out there that can get you some of the functionality above now.-
Squidoo Dashboard Firefox Extension
-
The dashboard shows a basic set of information to the Squidoo user, but is this enough? The Squidoo DE will enhance Firefox to show even more information on the dashboard.

I just added "Group Number that a Lens is a member of." I'd like to somehow see how many groups an individual lens belongs to. I am realizing that with some of my older lenses, I never got around to enrolling them in groups. Doing so could improve their lens rank.

Great lens. #4 copy and move modules, #5 sort by category and #10 lens templets. I don't have the technical knowledge you have, I am sure. This is a great program, but there is always room for improvements.
Wow, how do you find time to create so many lenses?
If, in your busy schedule, you have time....check out my little (2) lens (just started) under blue22d. I would appreciate your feedback.
