n. A comprehensive reference work containing articles on a wide range of subjects or on numerous aspects of a particular field, usually arranged alphabetically.

Squidoo Encyclopedia is a social content network which enables members to submit their favourite web links on any given subject.

For example, Squidoo Encyclopedia loves links to Squidoo resources! These can include Squidoo lenses of note, squidoo resources, squidoo blogs, squidoo articles, squidoo communities, squidoo news, squidoo books and just about anything on Squidoo.

Before you can submit links you must join, but it is free! Squidoo Encyclopedia is a community of lovers of Squidoo and it works in the same way as Digg. You can vote a link up or down, comment on a story, favourite a link; you can even subscribe to its feed!

3. You can promote your favourite links and join in with a discussion about them.
4. You can discover new and interesting information about Squidoo.
5. You can comment on other links in other CoRank communities.
6. Squidoo Encyclopedia is a place to share stories about the topics being discussed in Squidoo Encyclopedia with people with similar interests. You can use it to learn or discover new things, talk with others about the stories submitted, meet other people with similar interests, etc.

1. Visit Squidoo Encyclopedia: Squidoo Encyclopedia Sign up

2. Fill in the form provided giving:
Your email address
Your username
A password
Fill in the Security letters

3. Click on Create Account

4. A confirmation email will be sent to you.

You are all done!

When you log in you should see your home page at Squidoo Encyclopedia. This will contain your:

Alerts
My Sources
Last Commented
Last Voted

Don't forget to fill out your profile! All the necessary links to the important sections of Squidoo Encyclopedia are on the left hand side of your screen. To edit your profile, click on the link that says, My account.

Here you can edit your profile, adjust your settings, view your network, view your stats, check out your favourite stories and check on the stories you have submitted.

This is a copy of the email that would be sent when you invite your friends to Squidoo Encyclopedia using their email addresses.

Q. Do you want the submissions to ONLY be about Squidoo? Or can we add our Squidoo lenses that are on other topics?
A. You can submit any links about Squidoo; these can include your lenses on Squidoo (i.e Squidoo design tips, books, blogs etc.) or if you have one or two lenses that you feel are great then you can add them to the Lenses of note category. If you want to promote more of your lenses that do not fit into Squidoo resources then you can write a blog post or article and then submit that to the Encyclopedia.

Q. I have been trying to invite people to join but they are telling me that they are getting an invalid code error. I start with the invite and then add their email addresses. Am I doing something wrong?
A. Just to let you know I've done two things: I've sent a support email and I've sent an email invite to one of my own email addresses. You're right; there is an error. However, it's still possible that your invitees can still login using their email address and password. I did :)
