The definition of private label rights articles or PLR articles:
PLR articles are written and made available for several purchasers to buy and use. These articles can then be used as-is or edited as the purchasers desire - within the guidelines of the PLR company the articles were purchased from.

PLR articles are a great resource for anyone who is using the squidoo and bum marketing methods that are taught in the Squidoo Queen.

Writing articles can be a very time consuming process and if you selling an item that you have very little or no knowledge at all, the process becomes even longer due to the research that has to be done.

PLR articles are already written and are also keyword optimized for that specific niche. Joining a membership to receive this articles is usually on a monthly basis, but by using the methods taught in the Squidoo Queen, that cost should be covered by your monthly sales. Just a cost of doing business in a smart and efficient way.

The time you save by not researching and writing all the articles yourself, you can be finding other profitable niches and products to sell to increase your bottom line.

You should still edit the articles so you are not caught with a duplicate content penalty from google.

A simple way to edit your plr articles is to run them through a content spinner. This does require some work on your part, as you have to substitute synonyms for words in the article.
