The Group Squidoo Lens Luau At Crabbysbeach Is Having A Weekly Contest

That's right, another weekly Squidoo based contest. Only this one has nuts. The nuts from the Squidoo Lens Luau that is.

Squidoo Lens Luau is a group at Crabbysbeach blogging community for Squidoo lensmasters. The group is dedicated to showcasing lenses from some of the top lensmasters at Squidoo and they are having a weekly party.

Everyone will have a chance to vote on the best lenses submitted to this lens and the winner(s) will get a handsome badge to display on their winning lens.

Everyone is invited to vote. Every lensmaster is invited to join the Beach and get in on the competition.

Squidoo Lens Luau Group And Contest

The Squidoo Lens Luau group at Crabbysbeach is a group for all lensmaster/bloggers to share their lenses. Strut their stuff, so to speak. Attached to the group is a blog where every member is assigned as author. We can post (rhymes with boast) about any of our lenses we wish.

After all, a little self promotion does make us feel good. Admit it.

Without further adeiu, The Contest Outline:

This contest will run from February 1st, 2010 and for as long as you continue to blog about your lenses!

Scope

Squidoo Lens Luau group members will have an opportunity to create one post a week about a Squidoo Lens they want to enter into a contest for a chance to win a special badge.

General Outline

Every week, Monday through Friday, members of the group can post one lens in the Squidoo Lens Luau category under the corresponding sub category for that week.

The lensmasters then place the link to that lens in the matching plexo lens at Squidoo for the purpose of a public vote.

The plexo for that week will close on Saturday morning and the results verified.

The winner(s) will be posted Sunday and they will receive their badge.

Benefits

Each participant will receive at least two backlinks to their entered lens; one from the Squidoo Lens Luau Blog and the other from the matching lens.

The winners will acquire at least a third link.

Crabbysbeach will receive one backlink per winner per week. ** Note: Weekly winner(s) agree to place the badge on the winning lens or on their Squidoo profile as part of the agreement.

Restrictions

* All lenses will be accepted
* When posting at the blog, the All In One SEO options must be employed
* Any group member can post about as many lenses they want to each week, but they may only post about one contest lens (if more than one is submitted to the plexo, only the first one listed will be kept)
* All times are EST

**Questions about this contest or about the group in general should be posted in the Lens Luau Group forum (not on the wire) so they can be responded to in a timely manner.

Interestingly, I have been blogging for 4 years over at Typepad, and have seen amazing evolution of that site. Now it, too, is a small blogging community but NOTHING like Crabbysbeach!! I feel like I am walking into a small city every time I enter the Crabbysbeach site. The only thing missing there is moving Avatars!!

Not yet and every time I find myself at the beach, Crabbysbeach that is, I throw on my shades and hope that no one sees me. I feel like a kid again promising my Mother that I would clean my room and then something else came along. So I will do the same to the beachcombers at Crabbysbeach, I promise I will do a blog. Now I hope that the people at the beach won't be too crabby with me.
