Promoting Squidoo Lenses

Since July 2008, I have been blogging about and promoting creative, interesting and otherwise outstanding Squidoo lenses. This lens is all about the Squidoo Lens Reviews blog. The main goal is to show the world that Squidoo means quality. By promoting lenses and building links, it's a win-win situation for us all. For myself, I get to do what I do best — nurture. For you, your lens gets link love. For the whole community, we are building a better reputation for Squidoo. Read on to keep up with the blog's history and to find out how you can help in the process...

Squidoo Lens Reviews Gets Reviewed

At So You Want To Be A Giant Squid?, Giant Squid, bdkz wrote a review of Squidoo Lens Reviews. Thanks again, Bonnie!

Lensmaster Interviews

A lensmaster interview is published every Saturday and has been very popular from the start! Thank you to the lensmasters who participate in adding value for the readers!

As of May 2009, Interviews have been replaced by Question Of The Week (on Saturdays, there's a new one posted). Join in; you could have all of your lenses posted on the blog if your response is chosen as the winning post.

Question Of The Day

This was a fun idea, but it soon became apparent that folks just don't have the time to participate on a daily basis. Finally, I just quit doing it. Lensmaster Jimmie suggested that it be a Weekly question instead. That is what's being done now. Join in!

Alerts, Tips, Announcements...

Sort of let this one go by the wayside as well. Will still probably use it from time to time, but the big plan is to concentrate on a way and time to do more reviews per day.

Most Commented Post

The Squidoorati announcement

Very proud to have submitted Squidoo to Alltop. Alltop keeps growing and growing — which means the audience is growing and growing! Alltop has a few "ratis" — Twitterati, Frienderati, Utterati. And Squidoorati is among them!

How You Can Help

Visit the day's reviewed lens (or lenses) -- even if you don't like the topic. It's not about whether it interests you or not, it's about supporting each other and spreading the word. Each click, each rating, each time you're proactive, you help us all to become stronger than the spammers. While visiting a reviewed lens, leave a star rating, do lensrolls where appropriate, a Tweet or a note to that friend who actually might be interested in the subject at hand, a Stumble -- something! With full participation, you can then rest assured that when you have a reviewed lens, your fellow blog readers will visit and give you your props. In other words, as a reader of Squidoo Lens Reviews, give a reviewed lens the attention that you would want other readers to give to your reviewed lens.

Commenting on the actual blog is important as well -- and it is picking up. Thank you!

Show Your Pride And Spread The Word

For reviewed lenses

Placing and linking one of these images on your reviewed lens is a great way to spread the love. Won't it be wonderful when people thinking about Squidoo think only of the lovely and talented folks making a name for themselves with the quality of work they do?

After you check them out, vote for your favorite. Will it be #1, #2, or #3? ...Or something else?

Copy and paste the code corresponding to the image you'd like to add to your reviewed page. Place the code where you want it to show up. Rewrite the all-caps parts:

in reply to GrowWear Thank you MiMi once again. I tried the #2 Badge on 2009 Fargo, but I just like that #3 Badge the best. I'm actually getting the hang of this! lol! It looks great shining down in the intro. --- Oh, you know how Zut is "the fur-ball"! He cracked me up so bad today after I tweeted a lens for a friend. I read what he wrote in the guest book over there. I don't think there is shut-off switch that comes with him, just going to have to accept him the way he is. Funny as all get out! - I have enjoyed my day! :)

Sad about Farrah's death, but we expected that soon. - Micheal Jackson, now that was a shocker. I seen your tweet about that and had to go check it out myself. It hadn't been confirmed yet than, but it had been confirmed a while ago. My goodness!
