It only takes a few minutes to drive more traffic to your lens
Just what is Google Base and how can it help drive traffic to your Squidoo Lenses?
Google Base is a search function usually used by people looking to purchase an item. Search results come up with details about the item and a link to a Google Base page with more information about that particular item.
The Google Base page is where you basically sell folks on visiting your lens. I'll show you how to set one up in 5 short steps. You really can do this in about 5 minutes.
Even less time is needed with practice or if you use the 'Bulk Upload' option (use a spreadsheet for multiple lenses at one time) which I will add a short tutorial on in the future if there is enough interest.
Lets get to it!
Step 1 - Sign in to Google Base

Head on over to Google Base and either Sign In or Set Up an account with Google Base.
If you do not have a Google Account it only takes a minute or two and it won't cost you a dime.
Step 2 - Post Your Squidoo Lens to Google Base

Step 3 - Enter Some Details About Your Squidoo Lens
Make up a unique description of your lens and try to include some relevant keywords for your lens (just don't stuff it with keywords - make the description as though it is an ad for your lens - because it IS).

Add a picture (I used the image from my lens introduction) and some contact information if you want.
Step 4 - Preview Your Lens on Google Base

Step 5 - Publish Your Squidoo Lens on Google Base

Example of what a published item looks like
Example of Google Base Search Results

It looks like only 156-160 characters show up from your description in the search results so make sure you have a strong opening in the description of your Squidoo Lens.
Update
I am currently experiencing an overall 35% click-through rate for my lenses that appear in Google Base search results. Not too shabby.
