    Good ideas for making lenses stand out, and you barely even scratched the surface too. There are so many ways to make a lens look more impressive, this is a great idea starter.

    Thanks, great info. I am starting a series of recipe lenses. I was wondering if you have or are going to have printable modules (like a recipe card)? Could I use the blackbox module for that purpose? Can it be printed?

    How do we add custom widgets now that clearspring is gone? I want to be able to add my own widgets but the module menu doesn't give me that option. Any suggestions?

    I noticed Clearspring was gone, and don't have a solution for that as of yet. Keep an eye on the forums because one of the high-powered Squids who create solutions for problems such as this will start mentioning new modules and workarounds.

    Thanks, Becky. Your collage lens works so well with the CSS suggestions on here that I added your lens to a couple sections. Folks, check back over the CSS section and featured lenses and visit her really cool backgrounds and banners, free to use.

    is there a module which will allow me to upload comparison charts or tables? i've got a product comparison i have prepared in Word as a table but i cant seem to upload it.

    I don't think there is a module that will allow you to upload charts and tables (unless they are pictures, which might be a good idea with charts.

    Tables on the other hand can be created at Squidutils - Table Generator. It generates the code and I highly recommend it.

    I sometimes present chart data as an image. Display the chart on screen, grab the image (I use PRT SCRN, the print screen key) to put it on the clip board, then paste it into a graphics editor and save the image as a JPG file. Then I use the Text with Big Picture to put it on the lens.

    Good job on this basic tips lens. Please consider adding this lens to a plexo on Squidoo Tech Stew ... it's got helpful infor for newbie Squidoo lensmasters.

    I love the Blackbox! It's so versatile. If you could set the color using hex that would be perfect, or set the background to an image, but still it's pretty cool. Thanks for the rating, Ginger!
