Squidoo Security Words!
I saw it, and I chuckled and thought... Squidoo security words, how kooky!
Squidoo security words appear to typically be a combination of two completely different words, placed together, in an interesting and fun way.
I think Squidoo security words are amusing, fascinating and silly.
Do you?
Famous Squidoo Security Words

Squidoo security words make me wonder...
1.) Where do they come from?
2.) Are they pulled out of the Squidoo "ocean deep"?
3.) How do they get here?
4.) Is there a "Squidoo Think Tank" with a team of Squidoo people sitting around-the-clock, thinking up the latest Squidoo security words?
I have absolutely no idea.
But, I wonder if you've thought about this; everytime you've visited a lens and left a fellow lensmaster a comment... have you wondered about them, too?
I think that Squidoo security words have played a subliminal part in making Squidoo famous, helping to put Squidoo "on the map" - and I think they're fun, too!

The "Word Person" Behind This Lens

Words, language and reading are all things that I absolutely love.
They say that I practically came out of my mother's womb walking and talking.
I tried hard to read and write before I was formally taught to do so.
I always ranked high or won the school spelling bee.
Reading was a great escape.
Rough Starts Can Make For A Strong & Happy Ending
Don't Tear Down, Lift Up
With reading as my "getaway", I lived vicariously through most every character that I read about.
I loved to read and I loved write.
I sat and wrote my name everyday - over and over and over.
I wrote my dog's name, my mom's name, my dad's name and my big brother's name.
I'd write in print ... and, before I was taught how - I'd try to write in cursive
When I was a "small fry" - I did this everyday, and for years.
I was knocked down (emotionally) a lot by the woman who raised me, my mother.
I was always called "slow" because I couldn't keep up with her fast-paced footsteps. I wasn't allowed to receive compliments; people who tried to give them were told, "Don't tell her that. I don't want it to go to her head". You can just about imagine what that can do to a little girls ego. In secret, I was a nervous wreck but on the outside, I did my best to be a stoic little soul - telling myself to remain calm. I fantasized about growing up... about having a place of my own to live in, and being on my own. It's what got me through many days of dreariness and dread.
I sucked it up. I smiled when I didn't want to. I KNEW I was misunderstood.
Wanting to be liked (like most kids), I decided to sweep how badly I felt under the rug. I mean, she was my "Mother" for crying out loud! For years I hated to admit it; I don't think she ever really liked me, as a person. In my youth, I never understood what I did wrong - not realizing that her disdain for me were (and still are) her projections of herself.
So, it took years for me to admit what books and the words inside of them have meant and done for me.
Being ostracized as a child, trying to find my way through the haze of tears that I secretly cried for feeling like a misfit, for being the girl who liked books, words, and reading and writing - it wasn't always fun. But it paid off. I'm the proud author of Cater-Hater, a blog with party consumers in mind, first. I blog for people who want to save money, with a desire to produce their own stylish parties.
Parties make me feel a renewed breath of life.
"Parties tell me, through the hope I had as a child yet with the "knowing" I now have as an adult, that everyday is a wonderful chance to celebrate a joyous occasion."
- Carlo Powe-Crawford
I love words and reading and writing.
Because that's true, I always notice the words that people use and the way people speak.
Par for the course, I've also created another lens about words; the interestingly goofy words spoken by celebrity fashion stylist, Rachel Zoe, and the way that she uses her words.
The "wordability" for me here at Squidoo is a perfect fit.
Continuing on with my love for words and my writing, I'm in the midst of penning a couple of eBooks about catering and event planning. And in the future, I'll pen something semi-autobiographical, to share my complete story with the world.
I hope you enjoy this lens.
I dedicate this lens to everyone who was afraid as a child, for one reason or another.
You don't have to grow up feeling alone, or in pain.
Get help. I did.
Everyday you get a little stronger.
Then, the next thing you know - you're creating something fun like a Squidoo lens about Squidoo Security Words.
You start to find your peace. You find where you fit in, in life. And, you find the people who'll love you - quirky eccentricities for being a little scarred for walking at a child's pace as a child and all.
Celebrate words.
And know that you're good enough.
You definitely matter.
Cheers to everyone of you!
