In the Summer of 2009, a few Squidoo Lensmasters got talking (well, emailing) about what it was like when they first started on Squidoo. There was so much to learn and it was only because other lensmasters were so helpful in the SquidU Forum and other places, that these Lensmasters were able to learn how to make a Squidoo Lens.

Despite all the help they received, they still had to do a lot of research and look through lots of lenses, to find out How to Squidoo. While discovering all these Squidoo tips was interesting, it was very time consuming and heck, all they wanted to do was get on with the business of publishing a few lenses!

They learned as they went along. They made mistakes, there was information they never did find out until months down the line. Some of the information was useful, once they had worked out what it meant. Other information some of them never did fathom out until someone else explained it all to them - in non-technical language that they could understand!

So when they all started "chatting" and networking on a Ning, they realised that between them they had a heap of knowledge that could be passed on to others. They also realised that generally they used a similar step by step process as they created, published and promoted all of their Squidoo lenses.

These Lensmasters came to understand that not only is it Squidoo help and tips that people are looking for every day, (and sometimes struggling to find), they found that they had built up a raft of knowledge and experience that they could pass on in a simple, easy to understand format. And so a new, FREE Squidoo Guidebook was born:
