A Lens for Every Subtopic!

A Squidoo Topic Challenge!

Fancy joining me for a totally CRAZY Squidoo challenge? Yup, I have embarked on a journey into the world of Subtopics, to broaden my lens making and get out of my writing comfort zone!

Back when the Squidoo categories consisted of the headings that graced the home page, Get Cracking with Bonnie and Robin ran a challenge one month where each day you had to post a lens for each category - so, one day had to be a lens for the Arts category. another day it had to be a lens for the Animals and Nature category.

I made a few lenses (including my first ever car-themed lens!) but didn't have time to take part fully. However, I liked the idea and made a mental note to do my own personal challenge, where I made a lens for each category.

Then Squidoo Topics arrived! And such a challenge seemed very, well... challenging!!

But I am always up for a challenge, and so back in February 2011, I started posting a lens for each Subtopic.

I did think about doing a lens for EVERY single sub-subtopic... but being as I know nothing about an awful lot of the countries under Travel, have no idea what a Magnavox television is or am in any way clued up about real estate. then that probably isn't going to happen! Plus there are almost 3000 of those... er, hmm. I give up already!

So, here's my challenge. To complete a lens for every Subtopic (all 333 and counting)! If I make more than one for a subtopic, in a different sub-subtopic from the one I have already posted under, then I will add that too - let's see how many sub-subtopics I can complete as well!

Breaking Out of My Comfort Zone!

Subtopics I will LOVE writing a lens for...

Crafting, Recipes, Religion, Spirituality, Folklore, Birthdays, Gardens, Home Decor, Celebrities, Authors, Books, Dogs and Horses, to name but a few.

Subtopics I will HATE writing a lens for...

Car Maintenance, Web Development, Real Estate, Extreme Sports, PC Games, Trucks and Web Programming.

Not because I hate them, as such, but because I either know nothing about them or have no interest in them! But this IS going to be fun, honest... because the biggest challenge and interest for me is in thinking up something that I DO know about or have an interest in, that is relevant to that Subtopic.

    Yes, you are totally crazy. But inspiring. I wouldn't even attempt such a mammoth task but you seem to have taken a big bite out of it. I don't know where you find the time and energy but always enjoy your reading your viewpoint on things.

    Wow, unbelievable challenge! I'm sure you can do it. I'd love to do it too, but I'm a bit overwhelmed with other things at the moment. Hmm, the little cogs in my brain have started moving though, so you never know I might join you!
