Squidoo is a great community and service that allows you to create one page sites(lenses) at no cost at all. Squidoo is very easy to use and tons of fun! After four years of Squidooing I'm still here regularly and enjoy it very much!

Squidoo is a wealth of knowledge. You can pretty much type anything you want in the Squidoo search box and find information on just about anything you want from the many many knowledgeable Squidoo members.

Or you could sign up to Squidoo and start creating your own lenses about anything you heart desires.

In this video I'll show you how to find your way around the Dashboard of your Squidoo account. I'll show most of the features that will get you on your way to creating awesome Squidoo lenses to share with the world.

Just take your time and poke around and don't be afraid to click on anything. You can't break it!

Setting Up Squidoo Profile

Be sure to set up your Squidoo profile by adding your bio and your photo. This give people a chance on getting to know who you are and why you are sharing information through your Squidoo lens.

You can also add your social networking sites that you belong to. This gives people a way to socialize with you outside of Squidoo. You can also add links to your websites, blogs or whatever. Another way to brand yourself.

Take your time doing this, it's very easy and straight forward.

Why Is Keyword Search Is Important

Target Your Keywords (Tags) To Your Topic

The very first step you should do after deciding on what topic your Squidoo lens is going to be about is tag or keyword research.

Tags and keywords is the way your lens will be found on the search engines. They relate to what people type into the search engines when looking up a topic. The key is to choose tags that are relevant to what your lens is about. Try to choose tags that are high in search and low in competition.

You can find free keyword tools by typing keyword tool in Google's search engine.

Most of the time it's not hard to think of some tags by just using your imagination as to what people would type when searching about a topic.
