How to help Squidoo succeed?

Recently, I have come to the conclusion that Squidoo is at a critical point in its development. As lensmasters, we can help in more ways than one. It is well known that the Squidoo staff, though brilliant, are swamped with work. This is the price you pay for popularity. They could use some help. Squidoo, being a "co-op" can really use our talents and skills to smooth over the bumps and pave a path to success.

Top ideas...

  1. Create lens with great CONTENT. (our asset is our creative minds)
  2. Flag bad lens or inappropriate lens when you encounter them. (self policing)
  3. Rate honestly any lens you visit. (peer review)
  4. Offer constructive criticism when needed and offer encouragement to new lensmasters (use guestbook to provide feedback)
  5. Visit SquidU once in a while to help other lensmasters or to learn new techniques (no need to re-invent the wheel...)
  6. Send suggestions to Squidoo or report bugs when encountered. (be patient, they are a small and hard working staff)
  7. Tell your friends and colleagues about the advantages of Squidoo (spread the word!) Invite them to join in.
  8. Consider creating a "How to..." lens when you learn about something new and novel. (spread your wings)
  9. Add links to your lens from your blog. This will improve your ranking in google searchs. Amazing best kept secret. See link below.
  10. Join the lensmasters directory and share your story. We are a co-op and each of us have a great story to tell.
  11. Consider writing a Squidbook on your unique experience. I've already started one.
