Promotional Modules: Squidoo Modules that Focus on You or on Others

I'm writing a series on how to use the Squidoo modules to help people create their lenses . . . and to create great lenses. This particular lens is all about what I call Squidoo's "promotional modules" - modules that bring focus onto you or someone else you want to promote.

So, back to why I'm doing these lenses . . .

You might be new to Squidoo and you might be staring at a brand new, mostly blank page wondering what to do next. You might feel unsure about what to include, and how. And you might feel overwhelmed and kind of frustrated about using the modules.

You might have been a part of Squidoo for a while, but you're just not sure how to create the best lenses you can, or maybe you're ready to learn a few new "tricks."

Whatever the case, you'll find some simple steps, how-to information and ideas here on Squidoo modules for promotion. In this category, I include:

1. Twitter List
2. Twitter Storm
3. Twitter Follow
4. Twitter Search
5. RSS
6. RSS Mashup
7. Featured Lenses
8. Featured Lensmasters
9. About Me

This lens is part of a series that also includes how to use:

1. Squidoo highlighting modules
2. Squidoo modules for interaction
3. Squidoo selling modules
4. Squidoo writing modules
5. Squidoo photo & video modules
6. Squidoo modules for extra fun

Check them all out and enjoy this lens! If you have questions about anything here, please ask in the module towards the bottom - - I've added a space for your questions and I'll reply to them.

It's really simple to use once you've added the module to your page. You can check out my Squidoo Writing Modules lens to learn how to do this if you're not sure.

7. Enter your "hashtag" (topic).

Once you publish your lens, you'll need to go to your Twitter account and post that starter tweet. Then anyone who responds will add to the debate.

1. Add a title.
2. Add a subtitle (optional).
3. Add a description (optional).
4. Enter your question.
5. Enter the first possible answer.
6. Enter the second possible answer.
