Squidoo Says

"This is your brain, This is your brain on Drugs," sometimes I think that might read better, "This is your brain, This is you brain on Squidoo,"  but that is another lens.

We are all familiar with the radio and TV adds that promote a cause.  Often they are targeted at kids but  represent all age groups.  Often referred to as PSA's which is short for Public Service Announcement.

Public service announcements were originally a requirement for broadcast licensing.  They covered topics like health and safety and usually had a memorable mascot or celebrity representative.  In the 80's there was a decline in the numbers of PSA's due to deregulation but they still are a very prominent piece of U.S. advertising.

Obviously PSA's started with Radio and then shifted to TV but I have noticed since Al Gore invented the internet there has been no specific home to PSA's on the Web.

As Web 2.0 continues to grow and capture the worlds attention Squidoo has an opportunity to be the home of the PSA on the internet.

Help me make this happen.  Below I will include a Plexo to add your PSA lenses.  Be sure to tag all your lenses with the Squidoo PSA tag so they can easily be found.  You are welcome to post the Squidoo PSA graphic on your lens.

If a graphic designer would like to spruce this icon up I am open to suggestions.

Please only post lenses to this Plexo which have a public service theme.  If you have any further ideas to expand this concept shoot me an email.
