HERE'S WHAT I THINK >>> SQUIDOO STATS -- PUBLIC or PRIVATE
There's been a bit of difference and a bit of debate happening lately on the forum(s) about whether or not Squidoo Stats should be public or private.
Lots of wonderful techie coding has made it possible for us lensmasters to view statistics on our lenses in order to fine tune them and to better understand where the traffic is coming from. It is always interesting to see the traffic stats to the top 100 and top tier lenses. Sometimes the traffic blows right off the tops of the charts and makes the average bystander wonder where in the world all that traffic really is coming from! Inquiring minds surely want to know! Is it a level playing field for everybody, or are some people using some extra tactics to push those lenses off the charts? Rather like stats on steroids??? Squidoo Stats? Should they be public or private?
However, at the same time that we can see OUR data, so can ANYONE else. IMHO, I think these stats for the lensmaster's lenses should be viewable by the lensmaster only. SQUIDOO STATS -- PUBLIC or PRIVATE ?
