Green Goodies for St. Patrick's Day

As it is in real life, on St. Patrick's Day, all of the SquidMonsters become just a wee bit green.

The reason for this is actually a long boring story that involves an angry Wizard and a Leprechaun who tried to pull a fast one on him, but that's neither here nor there.

The only thing that matters now is that on March 17th every year, the residents of Squidooville turn green AND they love to celebrate the happy occasion with food... green food. In fact, the greener the better!

Have you got a great St. Patrick's Day appropriate recipe to share with the SquidMonsters?

To complete this SquidQuest, Create a brand new lens about any GREEN food, a traditional Irish dish, or anything edible that's appropriate to serve on St. Patrick's Day. The SquidMonsters are looking for recipe lenses for main dishes, side dishes, desserts, appetizers, beverages, and anything else they can eat.

Send your NEW recipe lens to the SquidMonsters via the Quest Tab on your dashboard before midnight (EST) on March 5, 2012 and they'll send you a scrumptious 200 points and choose the best of the batch to appear on the Best of Squidoo St. Patrick's Day Recipes 2012 MonsterBoard.

The SquidMonsters aren't picky they like to eat their greens. Share a green, or Irish recipe on a lens to collect 200 SquidPoints.
  • 1Create a NEW recipe lens about any green food, an Irish dish, or anything fun to eat on St. Patrick's Day.

    Share your best Shamrock cake decorating ideas, green egg recipes, green tea recipes, corned beef and cabbage, Irish Soda bread, spinach quiche, fried green tomatoes, or anything else green or Irish, as long as it's edible.
  • 2Complete the Quest by sending us the link to your NEW lens using the Quest Tab on your dashboard before midnight (EST) March 5, 2012 and we'll send you +200 SquidPoints.

    I inherited an old book of my Grandfather's, who had been in WWI. I was flipping through it, and found pressed in between the pages was a four-leaf clover - it was my lucky day!!! Thanks for the lucky lenses.

    Karen's Crusty Crustinis: Serves 6: 6 slices low carb bread, 1oz butter for spreading, 3 T. pesto, roasted sweet red peppers cut into strips, salt & pepper. Butter your bread. Spread pesto sauce generously over each slice. place 1 or 2 strips of red pepper on top. Place in oven on Gas Mark 6 for about 5 mins. DELISH! www.karenscckitchen.com :o)

    Well let the recipes begin! Here is my Pistachio Pie recipe, I am lazy so it is a no bake version and I use cool whip and cream cheese so it is is sweeter than most but not sickening sweet, just not cheesy... does that make sense? http://squidoo.com/pistachio-pie

    I love the various Quests, I love the 200 points but what would really be cool is if the Quest resulted in a neat new trophy. Have you guys thought about that? Like for this one in might be a green rolling pin.
