O Christmas Lens! O Christmas Lens! Thy Content Shines So Brightly!

When you think of Christmas, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Maybe Christmas reminds you of snow covered fields, a warm crackling fireplace and eggnog with just the right touch of cinnamon?

Perhaps thoughts of Christmas remind you of dinner at Grandmother's with the family, a beautifully decorated tree, or shopping for gifts with a good friend.

For this fun SquidQuest we're asking you to take a few moments to stop and think about what Christmas really means to you and then go out and find the one lens that best represents your favorite thing about Christmas.

In other words, we're looking for the very best and most Christmasy Christmas lens of them all to show off as Lens of the Day on December 25, 2011. Can you help?

ps... All lensmasters who submit a special Christmas Lens of the Day nomination by midnight [EST] on December 16, 2011 will receive 100 SquidPoints on their dashboard!

Reading through a Winter Wonderland of Lenses

All lensmasters who nominate a special Christmas Lens of the Day will receive +100 SquidPoints.

Here's how to nominate Lens of the Day for December 25, 2011.
  1. Find a well-crafted, outstanding, full-of-great-content-and-photos lens that oozes with Christmas spirit and joy. We don't want to see any sour-puss Scroogey lenses.
  2. Nominate your favorite Christmas lens for Lens of the Day HERE.

    We'll choose the December 25, 2011 Lens of the Day from all of the nominations submitted and use some of the other great nominations during the week leading up to the big day.
  3. Complete the Quest, and collect your 100 SquidPoints, by submitting your lensmaster name using the Quest Tab on your dashboard.

    I could not get the link here to work for nominating, but I used one that was in my items tab on my dashboard. Hopefully it worked. The link here told me the lens was not found, yet the link on my dashboard did not give me an error.

    Well, actually it is my lens -- it's my first Christmas season on Squidoo, so I did not know to start in time and I was about to give up this year when I saw the quest. In my place of residence it's hot hot on Christmas day -- we here water ski or swim or skydive (we, not me) -- but I choose to write about something that is relevant for all the regions of the world.

    Squidoo.com/gifts-for-young-chefs is my favorite Holiday Lens so far. There are several outstanding lenses though. It is hard to choose. I also liked the Squidoo.com/time-for-christmas-carols. I love sing alongs!

    Well I decided not to submit a LOTD lens for Christmas Day, because while I was searching for one I stumbled upon a beautifully written lens which deals with religious intolerance in a very integer way and after reading that lens, I didn't feel like playing in the Christmas sandbox anymore.

I love Hallmark movies ... they're so family-oriented and inspiring. What a great way to spend quality time with the family over the the long Christmas holiday weekend!
