Squids in it for love and money

I believe the actual effects (ie healing, transcendence of obstacles, etc) in the manifest world of prayer, and the exponential power of group prayer, come from the power of holding the intended-for outcome in mind with love. What I love about Squidoo is that I enjoy making lenses, I enjoy researching the options and functions of Squidoo, I enjoy serving animals via charity lenses, and I enjoy the company of the Squidoo community. Fundamentally, I enjoy my company on Squidoo- because the internal state is a pleasant one. Essentially, whatever I am doing on Squidoo it is done with love 'held in mind' as a state of being. I get happy on Squidoo because I am happy on Squidoo. It's like the ol' saying, 'You need money to make money.' It's the same with love- you need love to make love.

Have you ever noticed that when love is held in mind, concerns like money seem to evaporate, at least for the time being? Perhaps, when love is held in mind, one could even say that they are happy just being what they are- and the details don't matter.

The universe seems to only ever hear things in the positive- it doesn't recognize the negative. It doesn't take note of what 'isn't'. An example is the orange ball question- as soon as you read 'orange ball', it comes to mind and is being held there. The universe doesn't recognize the command 'don't hold an orange ball in mind', because the universe creates by extension. It literally extends the orange ball back to itself to be recognized for what it is, not what it isn't. Just like the orange ball, one can't hold money in mind and not see it in the literal world. So an easy path to survival is simply finding something one loves to do, and doing it knowing that money is a side-effect of doing what one loves.

The way I hold money in mind is by visualizing adding zeros to my bank book. I picture in my mind my bank book balance, with unlimited zeros being added. It's like a rolling slot machine in the back of my mind where the numbers just keep going up.

I don't strain my brain at all thinking of it, ie, like how will I get those zeros to go up, no, that's not the intent, because the stress of those thoughts could put a negative spin on things. Love cannot extend itself if it isn't present. I simply watch those zeros roll that balance up, and have faith that being and experiencing love and happiness will do the rest.

And you know, I can say that's true for my life already, so I see no reason why it won't be true when applied to Squidoo. Doing what I love on Squidoo is holding money in mind.

A Course in Miracles tells us that mind creates by making, and love creates by extension. Love naturally creates more of it's own via its innate properties that are firmly trenched in the laws of the universe that support life vs destroy it. That which is not love cannot create love; it can only make something different, and something that is limited in its power source. Unlike love, which is infinitely sourced, that which we make of things has an expiry date that occurs the minute we stop putting literal energy into it.

So it's easy to put love first if we know that it will extend as more of the same, with little or no effort or energy spent on mind's part in 'making' things different. An example is in competitions, if one is in it for the love of the race, it doesn't really matter where one places. We know we're at the finish line when we don't want to stop, when the journey takes over and becomes the outcome. That's how I feel about Squidoo, that the journey is the love, therefore, it is the outcome. And the money will follow accordingly.

About a week ago, I got a voice mail on my cell phone from a wrong number. The message was, "Henry in room 302 would like someone from NA or AA to come see him.". I didn't have a running vehicle to go see Henry myself, and the call wasn't even intended for me, but Henry stayed held in my mind. So out love for Henry, and prayers for his well-being, I made a Squidoo lens requesting help for him. I am not in it for love and money in terms of 'cause and effect', because I believe that All is nonlinear by nature, and that all is connected by the essence of love itself. And I've discovered by experience that money really is a consequence of doing what one loves. Not two days after making the lens for Henry, someone gave me a running vehicle. Now I know that's not cash, but it's progress!
