Thank you for taking the trouble to write it and I hope every new person on Squidoo is directed to it, I have learnt some very interesting things not to do and I can understand the dislike of spam, and I am glad they have taken measures to stop it happening on Squidoo

- Sure wish I'd had this terrific reference source when I began on Squidoo (less than a year ago). I 'floundered' in the Squidoo sea for awhile until -- through trial & error - things (like HTML) began to make some sense. I STILL have a lot to learn, but reading great resources like this lens and lenses you've listed here teach me more every day. Thanks for the help -- am 'bookmarking' and know I'll be back often to follow up on selected references as needed! Lensmasters like you here on Squidoo are amazing - giving valuable help to 'newbies' and 'not-so-newbies'!

- I am not a newbie either but this is a great lens! It looks nice, the writing style is good, and it was super helpful. Taking the extra mile with HTML code is so worth it on lenses - it's something I need to do.

- I am not a newbie, I started in 2007 with 2-3 lenses, came back in late 2009 and made some more. Great thing about reading getting started lens is that there is always something new.. I did not know e.g about two of the ebooks and one other book you mentioned and there are some good links to HTML knowledge that is always needed

- This is a great lens for me to tell people about - whom I am trying to convince to create their own Squidoo lens and they tell me they don't know how. - Thank- you for the valuable advice. I shall be returning several times to digest all that you have provided. This lens is exceptional. HTML is still overwhelming to me. I use the handy dandy FCS editor, it serves the purpose of creating links easily. Thanks for the kind and encouraging words on my lens. It is very appreciated :)

- Having joined the end of February '09, I completely agree there's a sharp learning curve. I swear I did nothing for the first two months but read, search, and bookmark how-to lenses. You did a wonderful job putting the most helpful resources for beginners in one place. Thanks for featuring my HTML lens, too! Much appreciated. (it's my personal fav of all my lenses) I lensrolled to that lens, as well. Great job!

I went from thinking this was "quick & easy" to being resigned that my 2nd lens was going to have to be a newbie guide of compiled resources, to help others not feel as clueless as I found myself. et bien voila!
