I spend waaay too much time here because it's just so much fun. And, yes, it's highly squiddicting. So much so that I've created over 50 quality lenses which promoted me to Giant Squid status in July 2008.

My Worst Lenses
Trust me, they're really bad
When I first started out on my Squid adventures, I was full of the weirdest ideas. Not really being a hardcore marketer, I soon found out that it was easier to write about topics that I'm either very knowledgeable or very passionate about.My worst lenses are all from that initial period when I thought I need to write about popular topics. Oh well, I also found out that it's hard to let go of unloved lenses which is why I didn't delete them yet. You know what they say about mothers and ugly faces...

By now you've probably heard this question at least a dozen times, but at the time of my first writing it was pretty unique.

Squidoo is a community website based in Hastings on Hudson, N.Y. that allows users to create pages (called lenses) for subjects of interest. Lenses are interactive, and can contain Flickr photos, Google maps, blogs, eBay auctions, YouTube videos, and other links. Squidoo is in the top 200 most visited sites in the world, and in the top 50 most viewed in the United States.Squidoo.com traffic details Alexa.com. It has donated hundreds of millions of dollars to charity.

Building lenses on Squidoo is fast, easy, and fun. You can get up and running in just a few minutes. Ha, ha, that's what they'll tell you to hook and reel you in. Sure, it's very easy to start but if you leave it at that you're not going to get anywhere. It takes a lot of dedication and plain old hard work to make a lens that's remarkable.The good news is, it is indeed fairly easy to get started. And seasoned lensmasters are bending over backwards and sideways to help anyone who's interested. There is probably nothing about the lensmaking process that hasn't been explained in great detail by another Squidoodler.
The other good news is that you can earn a bit of money, either for your own piggy bank or for your favorite charity. Or both, you alone decide how you want to split your earnings. How much can you make with one lens? Oh, anywhere from $0.07 to $1,000 has been documented here.
