DON'T START YET ! This is the Recipe ! 

Running before you walk gives you a scrunched up face

Before you even start a lens write on PAPER the following:

First choose Your Subject
Then Find the best Keywords
Use the keyword(s) in the lens title
Check how many lenses are on the same subject
Join SquidU - you will learn a LOT there.
Check out Amazon for things you can sell on your lens.Copy the Links from amazon to notepad.
Try to get HIGH PAYING keywords in the title and the INTRODUCTION section (but not too many or you'll be penalised by Google for spamming)
Read all the Lenses by Seth Godin (he really knows how to do it !)
There are separate sections to making a good Lens:
Subject
Keywords
Modules
Text
Original text
Links to same subject lenses or sites
Blogs on same subject
Images to make it look pretty
News on same subject.
Good html to make it look good
Put it all together
Mix often to keep viewer interested.
