My daughter loves this toy; and even carries some of them off to the shower with her. She likes the "tiny" factor of the toy. I would not recommend this for small children who would put it in their mouthes; but it's great for her age-range

My almost 4 year old daughter has around 100 Squinkies. She's always been a huge fan of starfish so when she saw the undersea surprise set, she just had to have it. I ended up ordering it online, as all of my local toys stores were constantly sold out of them.

We use her Squinkies for counting games, sorting by colors, and sorting the different types (i.e. horses, cats, dogs, etc) after they "hatch" out of their bubbles (as she calls it). She also uses them for imaginative play.
