SRI - and Sustainability Venture Capital

Investing to get sustainability innovations to great sustainable businesses

There are signs of a maturing of the SRI sector, both related to institutional investors and an emerging of what I find most interesting, this sector of "SVC". SVC financing is aimed at getting ventures focusing on making prospering businesses out of concrete innovative solutions of identified sustainability-related problems, e. g. poverty, global warming, illiteracy or disconnectivity/marginalization. Examples of solutions are within areas of fair and sustainable trade, micro-finance, solar energy, $100-laptops and innovative cellphone usage. I intend to have this area to be highlighted in this lens and related activities, in order to have more sustainopreneurial ventures of this kind with gain for main stakeholders Planet and People in an endless win-win-win chain.
