Natural Stain Removals
Want to get rid of stains without resorting to toxic chemicals? This little guidebook reveals how the most ordinary kitchen staples-lemon juice, vinegar, club soda, baking soda, salt, even potatoes-can be transformed into safe but super stain-fighters. You'll learn how to beat all the biggies: Red wine. Spaghetti sauce. Chewing gum. Ink. Blood. Grease. Grass stains. Perspiration. Lipstick and makeup. Cat urine. Chocolate. And these are just a sampling! From crayons on the wall to water rings on the furniture, salad oil on your blouse, cat vomit on the floor, motor oil on your jeans, Kool-Aid on the carpet, and Grandma's cordial all over the tablecloth, this indispensable little volume tells you how to identify the stain, what to do if it's fresh, if it's set, or (shudder) if it's already been laundered or treated without effect. From coffee and tea to rust and mildew, readers will find useful stain preventives, how to stock your emergency stain-fighting kit, what each stain-buster is good for, the most effective natural products, and-of course-the super stain fighters you already have on your shelves. Stains are listed alphabetically for easy reference. So next time a spill threatens to ruin your day-or your clothes-don't panic, reach for Natural Stain Removal Secrets (That Work!)
How To Remove Stains With A Lemon
Removing Lipstick
To remove lipstick from a shirt, gently dab the lipstick stain with an alcohol swab to the fabric. Use cold water if you don't have alcohol. Now apply a handful of clothes detergent and with just one finger, rub it into the lipstick blotch. Remember that certain detergents are more adept to chase away those lipstick stains, as lipstick is oil-based; thus, products that fight grease specifically are ideal. Now your stained shirt is ready to be tossed in the washing machine.Dawn is also great for fighting lipstick stains. Both ammonia and hairspray sometimes do the trick too!

- I doubt if I can give you any better way of removing stains! Your guide on how to remove blood stains on my carpet actually works! It's great for someone like me, who doesn't want to spend that much money on carpet cleaning. Carrollton, GA has a lot of carpet cleaners though... So is the next town's carpet cleaning (Hiram, GA) but I guess I'm just that cheap. Thanks again and great lens!
