What are your feelings on Stairway to Heaven? Good or bad, it is hard to say that it has not had an impact on modern rock....

    Stairway is a rock anthem. No denying. I wouldn't say it was my personal favorite song of Led Zeppelin, but it is a most excellent tune with great lyrics and serious guitarage.

    It sure has had a huge impact on Rock and Roll fans. My impression as a guitar teacher is that most rock guitar players at some point have at least tried to reproduce it on their instrument. My favorite version of it is the live one in The Song Remains The Same album. I was significantly motivated to play the guitar by watching the movie "The Song Remains The Same" when many years ago my brother invited me to do so. (Thx, man!) ..and STH was part of it. Great lens! 5 stars

    This is definitely true. Led Zeppelin is one of the best bands of all time. "Stairway to Heaven" is my inspiration for my own song writing. I am a lyricist BTW.

    I find it curious that this song is Led Zep's most famous one. I think it is a really good one, but they have a lot more songs that are even better!

    I love this song, it is one of my favorites! I used to play it on the piano (using easy level sheet music) and felt cool. :)

    Great topic and excellent lens. Definitely one of my top ten of all time. It's too difficult to qualify further than that--too many extrodinary rock classics to pick a favorite.

    Stairway's nice, but Over The Hills And Away is nicer XD And IMO, Freebird's got the greatest guitar solo. Nice lens, though.
