Ranked #45,184 in Entertainment, #538,568 overall
Welcome to the Stamping Shopper! This lens was created to be a companion to my Stamps, Ink and Paper lens. The list of rubber stamping supplies that I found for sale on Amazon grew so large that I decided to make a new lens dedicated to the subject!
Consider me to be your own "Personal Shopper" in the stamping realm. All of the products listed here are either things I have in my own stamp room or they are products I know that are highly coveted by other stampers (including me!).
So, sit back, relax and enjoy looking at all the pretty toys... and know that you can buy with confidence!

Paper Goods
Spotlight on: Vellum
Vellum, the perfect paper for special occasions!Vellum is a transparent paper that you can use to add a special touch to your projects. It is available in many colors and patterns with white vellum being most popular.
Many invitations for special occasions (for brides, babies or galas) are made with a layer of vellum paper affixed with a ribbon to a piece of cardstock. That's because vellum is easy to print on. It can be run through most printers which makes it easy to create your own hand-made invitations (a slow printing speed for specialty papers, like transparencies, is highly recommended. Check your printer's options). Vellum is also a beautiful choice when used on scrapbook pages for journaling. Vellum's snow white look also makes it a perfect paper for a Wintery card or scrapbook page.
Because vellum is transparent, you'll be able to see any adhesive you might have used so be creative and plan your project ahead of time. Ribbons, eyelets and brads are helpful accessories that you can use to attractively hold your vellum in place.

Spotlight on: 2-Way Glue Pen
The 2-Way Glue works in two different ways: it provides you with a regular type of permanent hold when it's applied wet to your cardstock. But if you allow it to dry, it creates a "Post-it" like hold, making your paper repositionable! Another handy feature of this glue is that it has a blue tint so you can see where you've applied it.I highly recommend this glue for all sorts of projects! It works on paper, cardstock, ribbon and vellum.

Inky Fingers
Spotlight on: VersaMark Ink
How many fabulous things can you do with just one ink pad? Lots, when it's this little ink pad!Create a translucent watermark image on vellum paper, a tone-on-tone effect on colored paper, or use it to achieve a "resist" effect. This is my favorite ink pad!
Another thing you can do with VersaMark is use it as an embossing ink. It's tacky and slow-drying so it will hold your powder until you've melted it. For more on heat embossing, see below.

Spotlight on: Markers
These markers are such a wonderful investment! And I can say that because I spent full price for a set of markers just like these. You will find more uses for markers than just coloring in images! You can use them to only color a certain section of your stamp (called omitting) or use them to color in a solid image stamp (the silhouette kind, not the line-art kind) before you stamp on your paper. Or use them like watercolors by adding extra shading to different parts of your image. They are so versatile--like mini ink pads!

Spotlight on: Heat Embossing
These are the basics of Heat Embossing: Stamp in a sticky ink, sprinkle on some embossing powder and heat! That's all there is to it.The most effective way to apply heat to your image is with an Embossing Heat Gun. This tool is like a small cylindrical hand-held hair drier, but it is much more powerful and direct. It's so powerful that you could seriously burn yourself and your paper if you are not careful (when I have a small piece of paper to emboss, I like to use a pair of tweezers to hold it). But nothing is more effective!

Pretty, Pretty Embossing Powders
Black is perfect for line art stamps and coloring in. Copper, Gold and Silver are perfect for special occasions and elegant greetings.
Spotlight on: Dry Embossing
With Dry Embossing, you use a stylus (usually a metal "pen" with a round ball for a tip) and a template (either made of plastic or brass). You use the stylus to slowly push and prod your paper into the groves of the template, gently forcing it to rise and create your image, with the help of a lightbox, such as this one. It's a beautiful effect!Empressor Stylus on Amazon
