Great lens! My Mom and I stamp together and she was a demenstrator for SU! for several years. I heard of Splitcoast before through her; she found many friends there with the same hobby. Stamping is fun and super addictive...and SO EASY! Mom has a stamping blog now, I would love for you to check it out!

I would like to comment on your inking technique. I do not recommend the twisting technique. This will cause ink to scrape on the edges of the image and when you stamp the image the line where it built up will not be sharp and will be blurred. If it is a large stamp, solid or lined, hold the stamp so that it is face up. This way you can see where you are inking. Do tap the stamp with the ink pad. I tap probably 10 - 15 times (depending on how big the stamp is) to build up that ink surface. This also prevents you from pressing to hard and getting ink up in the indentations and from getting ink on the wood. If you still are not getting a good image when you stamp it, try reinking your ink pad. For images 4" x 5" or larger, place a magazine or mouse pad under your paper and stand when you stamp it.
