Why is it important to use standard banner sizes for your store & website?
Now I have started to built my own affiliate site at Elmo Marketplace and I need lots of banners from the merchants. I find it frustrating when I cannot find the banners I want for my side bar or the main page. I wanted to feature their banners on my merchants page and I cannot believe that I cannot even find a basic 468 x 60 banners. Some merchants even provide some really weird sizes and I do not think that anyone will want to use them.
In fact, you should provide your affiliates plenty of choices to choose from. I will recommended that store owner should make as much banners as possible, for each sections and design of your store. Provide animated banners and standard one as well.
