Stanley Cup 2009

Eight teams are left competing for the right to battle for Lord Stanley's Cup in the Finals. Winning the cup is one of the toughest, most grueling feats in all of professional sports. Last year it was the Detroit Red Wings taking down the Pittsburgh Penguins in 6 games. Both teams are still in the running this year, and Detroit looks up to the task of repeating as champions. That feat was last accomplished in '97 and '98, by the very same Detroit Red Wings. Here's a quick breakdown of all four of the conference semi-final series currently underway.

In the battle of hockey's megastars, the Ovechkin led Capitals are up 2-0 on Sidney Crosby's Penguins. The Capitals are filling the pockets of their bettors, riding a win streak of 5 straight games.
