This type of gun does not have a plate under the staple unlike a stapler that you typically find in an office. The result is that the two points of the staple go directly in the object and do not bend like a traditional office stapler does.

Contractors who are installing the likes of insulation will often use a pneumatic staple gun. This is because there materials require plenty of stapling. A pneumatic staple gun requires little effort to actually use which is perfect for this type of work. Often this type of staple gun is designed to also be used with nails and brads.
