Episode 19 "Tomorrow Is Yesterday"

Star Trek Season One Episode 19 "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" first aired on January 26, 1967.

The Enterprise is thrown back in time by a black hole to the year 1969. The Enterprise has been discovered as a UFO on the radar of a fighter plane. The plane is blown apart by Enterprise's tractor beam, and pilot is beamed aboard. The fighter plane took pictures of the Enterprise and sent them down to the planet before it was destroyed. The crew has to find the images of the Enterprise and steal them back, so history is not altered. In the end, the crew find the pictures of the Enterprise. The Enterprise finds a way back to the future, and is able to place the pilot back in time in his plane before he sees the Enterprise, as if it never happened.

Episode 20 "Court Martial"

Star Trek Season One Episode 20 "Court Martial" first aired on February 2, 1967.
In this episode, Kirk goes on trial for negligence. A crew member named Finney was deployed in a pod into a ion storm in which he was killed. In the end, Kirk finds Finney, who is alive. It turns out Finney faked his death. Finney is taken into custody and Kirk is cleared of negligence.

Episode 21 "The Return of the Archons"

Star Trek Season One Episode 21 "The Return of the Archons" first aired on February 9, 1967.

The Enterprise finds a planet that is being controlled by a being called Landru. It turns out that Landru is a machine put there thousands of years ago. Kirk convinces the machine that what it is doing is wrong, and it should not keep people as slaves. In the end, Landru frees the people and the Federation brings people to the planet who try to help the the people start a new life without Landru's control.

Episode 22 "Space Seed"

Star Trek Season One Episode 22 "Space Seed" first aired on February 16, 1967.

The Enterprise finds a ship, the SS Botany Bay, in space that is from 1990s Earth. It turns out that there are people aboard in suspended animation. The crew brings their leader aboard whose name is Khan. After being in sickbay, Khan regains his strength. The people aboard the Botany Bay are genetically altered humans with great strength. With the help of a female crewman, Khan wakes some of his followers and they take over the Enterprise. The woman that helped Khan then helps Kirk regain control of the Enterprise. Khan, the female crewman, and his followers are taken to a planet and let go. This is the Enterprise's first encounter with Khan.

Episode 23 "A Taste of Armageddon"

Star Trek Season One Episode 23 "A Taste of Armageddon" first aired on February 23, 1967.

The Enterprise travels to a planet with hopes of opening negotiations with the people there. The planet is at war with another planet, who fight war games only with computers. When there is a strike on the surface, the people in the area struck on the computer are put in a booth to be killed. This way there is no damage to the surface of the planet. The Enterprise then becomes a casualty of war. Everyone aboard the Enterprise is to be put in a booth and killed. Finally, Kirk and Spock disable the computers and stop the war. This frees the people from any other casualties.

Episode 24 "This Side of Paradise"

Star Trek Season One Episode 24 "This Side of Paradise" was aired on March 2, 1967.

The crew of the Enterprise beams down to a planet where the inhabitants should not be alive due to radiation. It turns out they are very healthy, due to plant spores on the planet. In the meantime, the rest of the Enterprise crew are infected with the spores. They plan on staying on the planet and disobey Kirk's orders. In the end, Kirk is the only one left on the ship. He finds that if you are infected with the spores and grow emotional or angry, it destroys the spores and you become normal again. Kirk tricks Spock back to the Enterprise to help him move supplies back down to the surface. He angers Spock and Spock becomes normal again. They then help the rest of the crew.

Episode 25 "The Devil in the Dark"

Star Trek Season One Episode 25 "The Devil in the Dark" first aired on March 9, 1967.

The Enterprise is sent to a mining planet where a strange creature, called the Horta, are killing the miners and destroying the equipment. It turns out the Horta are just protecting its eggs, and are not bad creatures. The miners work out an arrangement with the Horta that actually help the miners find new mineral deposits, in exchange for the Horta being left alone. In the end, the eggs hatch and the miners find numerous mineral deposits.

Episode 26 "Errand of Mercy"

Star Trek Season One Episode 26 "Errand of Mercy" was aired on March 23, 1967.

The Enterprise travels to Organia which is inhibited by the Organians. The Enterprise is attacked by a Klingon ship, and the Enterprise destroys it. There are more Klingon ships on their way to the planet. Captain Kirk tries to warn the Organians that the Klingons might be wanting to take over their world, but they do not seem to be worried about it. It turns out that the Organians are not human at all, and are more powerful than the Klingons. The Organians then force the humans and the Klingons to make a truce.

Episode 27 "The Alternative Factor"

Star Trek Season One Episode 27 "The Alternative Factor" first aired on March 30, 1967.

The Enterprise discovers a time traveler named Lazarus, trying to find his enemy. It turns out his enemy is another being which is another part of himself. While on the Enterprise, Lazarus tries to steel the ships dilithium crystals. He needs these crystals to continue on his journey to find is enemy. In the end, Kirk sends them both back through the time portal, where they are trapped in between universes and fight each other for eternity.

Episode 28 "The City on the Edge of Forever"

Star Trek Season One Episode 28 "The City on the Edge of Forever" first aired on April 6, 1967.

Dr. McCoy jumps through a time portal after accidently injecting himself with a medication, which makes him paranoid. Spock and Kirk try to find him by jumping in the portal only to be put on Earth in the 1930s depression era. They find McCoy and are sort of stuck there. Because of the change in history, the Enterprise no longer exists. When Edith, a woman Kirk falls in love with dies, history goes back to normal. It is then revealed that Kirk, Spock and McCoy have only been gone a few moments.

Episode 29 "Operation: Annihilate!"

Star Trek Season One Episode 29 "Operation: Annihilate!" first aired on April 13, 1967. This was the final episode aired for season one.

The Enterprise visits the planet Deneva, which is the planet Kirk's brother and family are living on. The crew beams down only to discover amoeba aliens are taking over the planet. They have also killed Kirk's brother. It is determined the the creatures can be killed by ultraviolet light. The Enterprise releases satellites that kill the creatures and Deneva goes back to its normal state.

    We've been rewatching the original episodes (remastered) on Netflix. Good stuff!

    This was my "Like" #900 and I got points for it. Easy for me, I love Star trek! Even majored in Logic in college because of Spock.

    I've seen every one of these at least twice and still remember how fascinated we were when Star Trek came on the seen....as if on a beam. (couldn't resist rhyming) I love the Spock wall decal....

    I need to get the original at some point. right now I am watching ST TNG as I did not see them all the first time around.
