Star Trek Voyager vs The Next Generation

Here's what I think!
I really enjoy this series. Its a bit like a sophisticated Space Family Robinson. For me Captain Kathryn Janeway is a superb Commanding Officer. Tough and resiliant, leads from the front and yet compassionate and understanding of her crew. The Doctor is brilliant too. His humour and pompsity are great characterisations. Tuvok is the perfect foil to Data of The Next Generation however one of the most intruiging characters has to Seven of Nine, and not for the most obvious of reasons. Taken by the The Borg For me her story is rather fearful. It is a story of child abduction and abuse and her rehabilitation or de-assimiliation. This process sees her regain her humanity. However on the way her clinical objectivity and her matter of fact ways means she is entirely innocent of her physical attractiveness and the bluntness of her communication.
So which is it for you? Star Trek Voyager or Star Trek The Next Generation? . As Seven of Nine would say:
" Star Trek Voyager vs Star Trek Generation...Decide Now!
One thing you have never been...

Sta Trek Voyager vs Next Generation

Yes, you're right!
nightbear says:
This is impossible! They are equally fabulous for minor differences making them unique. Each captain was strong and fantastic and the adventures were memorable. No! I can't choose!
TravelingRae says:
When I add it all together, VOY.
reasonablerobinson says:
I was a always a big Next Generation fan, and today its Voyager that wins for me because of the peseverance and hope of getting home.
No way, Monkeybrain!
MissionBoundCreations says:
Next generation because EVERYONE could act.. Not the same for Voyager
leahjsongs says:
ST Next Gen for sure. There is no one who commands more respect from a crew than Capt. Jean-Luc Picard. Plus VOY didn't have a DATA. Every star ship needs a DATA.
Cinnamonbite says:
I really liked Voyager better, until I met the actors. Ugh. It's ok, I've always liked DS9 the best out of all of them and The Emissary is an awesome fella in real life.
jjaysmoker says:
I must confess,The only Star Trek series I did not like, was Voyager, I did not like Janeway, Nails on a chalkboard. I did watch season 1 and sporadically other episodes, Just Didn't like the cast. The premise of the show is fantastic. but TNG will always be the best in my opinion. I cared about the characters infinitely more.
BigGirlBlue says:
It's been years since I've seen either. I love both shows for different reasons but I think NG is my favorite. There are just more likable characters as a whole than V.
Help me prove that Voyager is better than Next Generation

- I love the premise of VOY; I'm a sucker for shows about people lost and far away from home. I found that Star Trek too more risks with VOY than with TNG. But DS9 is my favourite of the series. :) BTW, my cat is Neelix.

- I loved TNG but I can't really pick between the two as I have seen very little of Voyager. My older brother was a huge Trekkie and knowing how much I wanted to watch his TNG videos he made a deal with me - I had to watch all of TOS first! I think by the time it came to the end of TNG I was all Star Trekked out! Still, I have fond memories of watching Star Trek with him as I got to spend time with him. Being 9 years older than me he didn't want to hang out with his annoying little sister much. I can't believe it was so long ago that TNG must have been on TV!
