alloween is almost upon us once again! As you go trick or treating with the little ones this year, don't leave Rover home all alone. With dog costumes, such as these Star Wars Dog Costumes, your pet can dress up and join the fun too! I used to dress my big eared Chihuahua (who I named Yoda!) as this character time and again, though his costume was home-made. Now, there is the Yoda costume as featured here for purchase, which gives the illusion that the dog is standing on two legs, with arms on either side. This design is great for dogs, because of both Yoda's and a dog's small stature. This costume is available for dogs of all sizes, from the very small (like my Yoda was), to the extra-large. It comes with a hood that the dog will wear, in the form of green Yoda ears. The clothing is quite like Yoda's, and the material of the hands and feet that stick out of the robes and legs, are green as well. Personally, I find them to be more of a Shrek or Kermit the Frog green, but, this character should be pretty unmistakable as your dog walks down the street.

The Princess Leia costume features white polyester robes (in a solid jumpsuit) with attached arms. They come in sizes small to extra-large, so finding one for your pooch, whatever her size should be easy enough. The medium size, as featured here, fits pets up to 17-inch chest and 15-inch neck to tail.
This costume, like the one before, gives the illusion that the dog is standing on two legs, with arms hanging down at the sides. It's really adorable and would fool the eye from afar. The best piece to this outfit is the double bun such as Princess Leia wore. It's in the form of a headpiece and wil leave no doubt as to the character your dog is portraying.
This costume would be perfect if the children (or adults) are dressing as Jedi this year for Halloween.

Believe that your little snook-ums has a touch of the Darkside in him/her? Then, a Darth Vader Halloween Pet Costume would be perfect for the pooch. The jumpsuit is available for dogs sized small to extra-large (the one featured is a medium and will fit dogs that have up to a 17 inch chest and measure 15 inches from neck to tail). The jumpsuit has attached arms, full of stuffing, and your dog's front paws are stuffed into the "legs" of the costume, giving the appearance that your dog is standing on two legs, with arms hanging down at the side. It's really quite cute!
This costume is all in black, of course, with a touch of color at Vader's chest panels. It is made of polyester (but, USA made). It comes with attached cape and belt. Perhaps the key piece to this outfit is the helmet which is really a headpiece that slips on the dog's head. While it doesn't come over the dog's face, Darth Vader-style, it is still pretty recognizable as the Dark Lord's mask, and passerby should have no trouble figuring out which character your dog is portraying.
This costume is perfect for Halloween, if a child or adult owner is dressing as a Star Wars character this year.

Ewok Costume: Use teddy bear the height of your dog.Take it's face , tips of feet, and back off, removing the stuffing from everywhere except the bear's ears & arms. Sew or pin a hood on in style of Wicket or other Ewok. Place dog's feet in bear's feet and slip bear's head over dog's head.

These dog shirts found on Zazzle.com feature Star Wars characters. They can be ordered in several colors and sizes.
Remember to make sure your pet is comfortable in his or her clothes. Do not place dog in anything too tight fitting, or anything that will restrict the dog's walking or movement. Also, make sure your dog does not overheat, or pull off pieces of clothing (they may eat it!).
