The Star Wars Price Guide Lens

Welcome to the Star Wars Collectibles Price Guide lens. Whether you collect Star Wars action figures, trading cards, or other memorabilia for fun or profit, you'll eventually want to know what many items are worth. These price guides are also often vital to providing a visual checklist of items you may need to acquire to complete a portion of your Star Wars collection.

There are many Star Wars collectibles price guides available on the market today but we couldn't find many websites that attempted to list a majority of them in one place. With that in mind, welcome to the Star Wars Collectibles Price Guide Lens. Since providing values for Star Wars collectibles in a lens format is a daunting and nearly impossible challenge, I aim to do the next best thing: tell you every source I am aware of to find that information!

Star Wars Price Guides

In a galaxy far far away. . .

Star Wars collectors were searching for one single source on the internet listing the Star Wars price guides available. It was a search in vain, until one Star Wars fan dedicated a lens to that very subject.

A Word About Star Wars Price Guides

I just wanted to take a moment to offer my thoughts on price guides. In the interest of fairness and full disclosure, I wanted to point out price guides are just that, GUIDES.

A price guide is nothing more than an estimate of what research has shown an item could be valued at. Most price guides are nothing more than a subjective opinion of the value of an opinion based on what similar items in similar condition have sold for consistently in the past. I think you can begin to see how subject the entire process is. In addition many printed price guide publications are out of date the minute they hit the sales shelf. Pricing guides are based on the research that was done at or near the time of publication. There are so many variables involved with determining the value of a Star Wars collectible it is near impossible to publish an absolute value on anything.

The bottom line is none of the price guides listed here should be viewed as the be all end all in pricing your Star Wars collectibles. Ultimately they are nothing more than subjective guides to help give you a very general idea of what your Star Wars collectibles may be worth. In the end only the buyer and seller can truly establish the value of any item!

Tomart's Price Guide to Worldwide Star Wars Collectibles

Stephen J. Sansweet, T. N. Tumbusch

Tomart's Price Guide to Worldwide Star Wars Collectibles is the 256 page guide long been considered one of the best Star Wars collectibles price guides available. It's no wonder Lucasfilms gave it it's blessings! Although this book needs to be updated with some of the more recent Star Wars collectibles and their values since 1997..this is still a fantastic resource for the serious Star Wars collector.

The Official Price Guide to Star Wars Memorabilia

Jeremy Beckett

The Official Price Guide to Star Wars Memorabilia by Jeremy Beckett is a very valuable resource and reference for the serious Star Wars collector. The guide covers the history behind many Star Wars collectibles and memorabilia items. It also covers topics of interest to the Star Wars collector such as bootlegs and counterfeits, production errors, how to safely store and preserve your Star Wars collectibles, how and where to buy, and much more! This book even features a number you can enter in an online database to learn more information about the items listed.

Some collectors criticize this book for not having a useful price guide. While the price guide aspect of the book does fall a little short of its promises (It often doesn't list prices for some categories, sometimes doesn't list the original list price, etc.) the rest of the book makes up for these shortcomings. Definitely a great resource to add to your collection.

The Galaxy's Greatest Star Wars Collectibles Price Guide 1999

Stuart W. Wells

The Galaxy's Greatest Star Wars Collectibles Price Guide 1999 is another very cool price guide and resource for collectors. Although the prices were consistently criticized by collectors for being a little too high back when the book came out, they still give a general idea of the value of most items.

Like many of the older Star Wars collectibles price guides, the real value of this book is in the descriptions of items and their history and other information. I really like this book, and NOT just because the Rancor holding the Star Wars mug on the cover reminds me of myself having my morning coffee!

I saw the first Star Wars movie when it premiered and haven't missed one since. I have a number of collectibles, mostly miniatures which I prefer. Whatever their perceived monetary value, I doubt I would ever part with them. I enjoyed the lens.

Cool lens and resource to check the prices on your old Star Wars action figures. I've got mine in a shoebox somewhere.
