I am trying SO hard to stop drinking coffee and diet cokes, then I came across this lens!! The recipes look delicious. So maybe I'll try the recipes THEN quit drinking coffee. I was given a Starbucks gift card last Christmas, and I pretty much got hooked on Starbucks. Their Internet connection is WAY faster than my satellite service, so there's another excuse for me to go to Starbucks!! I can't wait to try the recipes. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for encouraging my habit! ;-)

Starbuck's is a rip off. The coffee is crap, the prices are ridiculous and as for the stupid names they have for their different sizes.....so I don't go there.
  • RenaissanceWoman2010 Sep 3, 2011 @ 8:37 am | delete

We all love Starbucks. I even had a real, live barista living in my house at one time. Don't tell anyone, but she still comes home every once in a while and whips up coffee for us. Her dad swears she has the special touch with coffee. Personally, we both know she just has the special touch :)

Yumm! Did a little birdie tell you just how much I love Starbucks -- oh yes indeedee I do! I am so thankful that there happens to be a Starbucks at our corner -- I can walk there and almost not get blisters on my feet. Something about the taste. This is a terrific lens.
  • Treasures-By-Brenda Mar 13, 2009 @ 9:00 am | delete
Your lens is the second one today that made me wish I drank coffee! You've missed an important coffee institution in your poll...Tim Horton's...I realize that is a Canadian institution though and it is really too bad it is not available around the world!

There is, however, another drag to Starbucks and to Tim Horton's and to coffee shops and fast food outlets in general and that is those pesky paper cups...I hope you will visit my lens about Banning Paper Coffee Cups and let me know how you drink your coffee...I hope it is in a treasured Starbucks or Chaleur Coffee Mug!

    Brenda

P.S. -- Lensrolled your excellent lens to both of my coffee-themed lenses.

Great lens, 5***** I enjoy a good coffee, but I find Starbucks and similar chains really overpriced for just a cup of coffee. I do like a good latte or cappuccino though.

We actually have TWO Starbucks mugs...and there isn't a Starbucks within 100 miles, even! Luckily, we travel a lot. What I also like about Starbucks is their concern for the environment. The only other coffee I like is from my French press. Mmmmmm, good.
  • enslavedbyfaeries Jul 30, 2008 @ 11:28 pm | delete
I love coffee but rarely visit Starbucks on my budget. Thanks for sharing these recipes. I can't wait to give them a try. Nicely done! 5*s

I agree with colbor. In Italy your coffee is served in a ceramic mug. I'm glad Starbuck's is promoting reusable cups, and hope more people embrace the concept. Welcome to Culinary Favorites from A to Z. I'm also going to feature this on my Squid Angel Diary.
  • colbor Jul 30, 2008 @ 8:18 am | delete
So much stuff here ! Hope they are giving you commission ! As I live in Italy, I cannot get so enthusiastic about Starbucks as we have the real thing here - hope you understand !

Awesome! I'm a doubleshot lover and will try that home recipe! What syrup is used in that? I didn't think it was flavored at all? Also, I didn't know about the cream vs. milk for steaming. Very informative! Now I know how to be a barista! I still want an air freshener for my car called starbucks, when's that coming out? 5*'s!
  • Webcodes Jul 10, 2008 @ 10:51 am | delete
