From the lens Starcom: The US Space Force.
So tell me: do you remember StarCom? Has this been a trip down memory lane, or was it your first introduction? What do you think was the best thing about the toys, or the worst thing about the cartoons? Sound off here, folks!

- Hah! I remember this lot! I used to have one of the five-episode videos, and it was my favourite sci-fi cartoon ever (after Transformers.) My mate Tom remembers it too, but wheras I liked the StarMax (because it looked cool and could carry a fighter), he preferred the Shadowbat because (quote) "It was a big triangle that could split off and form smaller triangles." Or possibly because from what I can remember it looked vaguely like a Cylon Raider from the old Battlestar Galactica. Nice to see this great series hasn't been forgotten.Incidentally, do any of you Starcom fans out there remember "Ring Raiders?" Now excuse me, i'm going to rush right off to Amazon and buy the Starcom DVD.

- I played with the first-generation Starcom toys, and just looking at them now brings me fond memories of recreating canyons with blankets and flying my Star Bomber down it on the way to some kind of mission.
The toys were awesome. They had a variety of moving parts, and each toy had some kind of symbiotic relationship with the other - i.e. the Hove Crane would lift the cargo from the back of the bomber, and fly away using its flip-out engines.
Really cool stuff. Wish I still had them.

- This site is AWESOME. I collected these as a kid and just found my box of all the toys in my parent's garage. THEY STILL WORK!

- Awesome lens. I remember watching Starcom on TV and having to deal with my kid sister giving me grief for being too old for cartoons. I showed her, I'm in my 40 nows and still love cartoons!

- Excellent site, thank for bringing me down memory lane. You have managed to rekindle so many warm memories for me. It is a shame you cannot get the whole season on dvd yet.
