Uniting Ebay and Prostores' Sellers

We need to live and have fun too right? That is why I made this lens for eBay sellers to unite and have fun while earning some cash. I can't promise eBay will make you rich but I can say it has helped with some bills for us.

Throughout the next several weeks I will be adding more contests, polls, and exciting stories from eBay users.

You do not need to be or ever have been an eBay seller to join in the fun! In fact we encourage all to check out our lens and want to extend a special welcome to Prostores users as well. Many Prostores users were eBay users first and most still list at least some items on eBay.

I want to welcome everyone! I don't care if you are an eBay or ProStores user but I do hope I can help someone out there.

Our lens donates to ....

When you buy something from this lens 4% will be donated to the Squidoo Charity and 46% will go to a charity that I felt is so deserving especially with our men and women giving up their time during the holiday season to protect us leaving behind their families when they would of course love to be home instead. And if you want to make an additional donation they would sincerely appreciate any amount you can spare to be sure those individuals are receiving care packages when soldiers are away from home. Thank you!

Soldiers' Angels is a volunteer-led nonprofit that encompasses over 20 different teams and programs. They send letters, care packages, and comfort items to deployed American service members, and we support their families here at home.

The Shop Prostores Page is now up. I found it needs a bit of work but sure to increase traffic to your Prostores Store. Check this announcement by eBay out http://announcements.ebay.com/2009/11/shop-prostores-page-now-available/

November:
November 17, 2009 eBay is going to allow visitors who land on your closed listings to see some of your active listings on that page! This is great and I say way overdue. Sellers who want to boost sales this holiday season should check this out. http://shar.es/aKTS0

Between November 17 and December 16 listings paid for by Paypal will earn you 1% back in eBay bucks. This is a nice plus for those who do accept Paypal but from a financial standpoint unless the items are high dollar it is unlikely it will save you enough to make it worth changing to Paypal only.

On October 31, 2009 eBay closed down the eBay Blogs. I'm not sure if this was a good or bad move on their part but I would like to know if anyone has seen a difference in their sales due to this change. It has been almost a month now so post your comments and let me know what you think.

July:
Recently they added a change that allows for 5 free listings per month starting in June if you list those through their site and not a third party.

At a minimum of about .35 to list an auction that would be a minimum of about $1.75 in savings.But is that worth your time and effort?

Simply Hashtags

Are you a twitter user wondering what is up with the hashtags? Words with the # in front of it. Or for the life of you still can't figure out what the point is?

Be sure you are using #ebay and/or #prostores and your tweets will show up on this lens!

I have done some research and of course each place you look has a different story but I have found these to be some of the better resources on the topic. Learning how to use the hashtags has helped me understand what topics my followers enjoy most and helped me bring in the type of followers I am looking for.

Mashable article on hashtags is a fairly good article but it can take a minute to load the full page with all the other stuff that comes up. Another good place is Tech for Luddites: The twitter hash tag what is it and how do you use it. Just an fyi before you start using hashtags you should of course have your own twitter account but what seems to be left out of most articles is that you need to be following http://twitter.com/hashtags and you should look at this article How to effectively use hashtags for more information on where to register your hashtag because if it isn't registered it likely isn't being followed or seen!
