How Do You Start A Blog

Many people ask me why I like blogging so much and if they themselves should start a personal blog. I definitely love blogging, and for that reason it is really easy for me to convince them why personal blogs are such a great addition to a person's life. This lens will specifically talk about starting a blog, running a blog, and most importantly marketing a blog! After all, a blog that no one knows how to find is a blog with no readers, and a blog with no readers is a sad blog. We want our blogs to be happy! Like a trip to DISNEYLAND!!!

Here Are Five Great Reasons To Start A Personal Blog

in other words, what you waiting for? START A BLOG NOW!

Blogs, blogs, blogs are everywhere; and still there are many people out there without one. If you're reading this article you might be one of those people wondering if you should start your own personal blog. Well, you've come to the right place. Here are five reasons right off the top of my head why you should start a personal blog.

First: Blogging is a great way to express yourself. It gives you a chance to put your thoughts out into the universe about your life, about things going on around you, as well as express your opinions. The fun part of it is that it is out there in internet space for others to read including friends, family, and even strangers! There's something quite romantic about that.

Second: Starting a blog is a great way to just improve your writing! And if you plan to be a writer, it is a great thing to add to your resume. Remember, a personal blog doesn't necessarily always have to be about topics that relate to your personal life. A personal blog can also be about a particular topic that is of interest to you for which you are not really commercially motivated. This can be a great item to add to her skillset, and if you're a writer, a nice thing to add to your resume.

Third: Besides improving your communication and writing skills, you can also improve your thinking skills. Exercising the brain is very important these days. There are even many handheld video games available to exercise your brain. But being able to logically think through a blog post or article on a topic of your choosing not only exercises your brain but also makes it pleasurable and fun since you have the freedom to choose how much you want to think about your post and how much detail you want to write in.

Fourth: In the nature that emails and text messages are "one way" communication, blogging actually can bring people closer together. Because when people read what you have to say in your personal blog, they can really read your full thoughts and reasoning and get to know your opinions and you as a person. So in a ironic way even though blogging may seem like a more distant activity, it can actually bring people and communities closer together

Fifth: The internet has really made the world smaller, and personal blogs are a big part of that. With blogging (and commenting on blogging) like minded people are able to find each other. People can simply search out different topics of discussion and find your blog and even communicate with you whereas without your personal blog some like-minded kindred spirits might never meet. That's the romantic side of blogging.

And those five reasons are just the start. As you start getting more into your blogging, you will probably find many more reasons blogging will enrich your life (and feel free to let me know them!). In the meantime, I definitely have found blogging to be an amazing addition to my life and I hope you take that next step and find it enriches your life as well. So go start a personal blog!

VIDEO BLOGGING: the new rage!

Video Blogging a.k.a. VLOGGING is also the new rage. Honestly, for me, I like reading people's entries because you can skip around and stil get the gist. Versus ... video...which ..well, sometimes can get boring. But video does catch the ey quite a bit :) You never know when it will go viral!

The Romance Of Blogging

..maybe we didn't really want to know about that (?)

Traditionally blogging has been a vehicle for online journaling. You could voice your opinion out to the stars, to the unknown of cyberspace, and who knew what kind of folks out there would find your blog. Or even make contact. What could happen?

The unknown of it all makes the idea very romantic. And definitely novel in the early days of blogging.

These days, there are so many blogs (and abandoned blogs) (I have a few myself) that for those that are desperately wanting to be heard for fame or for ego may find it difficult. Those that truly blog to put their thoughts out there will still go strong and find it fulfilling (with any earnings or fame as an added plus).

There are many google searches these days for how to make money blogging. The truth of it is, there are many ways to make money online, and many of them utilize a blog as a cog in that wheel, but for those that want to blog in the traditional fashion to try to make it big, it may prove to be tough. Not impossible, but it will take some luck - similar to the luck of videos going viral (CHARLIE BIT MY FINGER!!!).

Not to discourage you, because I think everyone needs to start a blog in the journaling sense. There are so many benefits to it besides the drive to attempt fame and fortune. You can meet new people, make new friends, find a lot about yourself, AND as there are really no rules, who cares if you end up blogging your 500 favorite jokes that maybe only a first grader would like?

There's a lot to be said about that kind of blessing in your life!

The King Of Blogging Returns

Even if most people use blogging NOT for online journaling but for other reasons, you got to say that when TV and Movies use the online journaling aspect of blogging, it usually is quite entertaining....
