I'll tell you how I made a successful online business

It was about 5 years ago, I looked to own my own website business.
Not knowing the first thing about business was just one obstacle I faced and I guess, for many, would be a reason not to pursue it any further.
Well, unlike most people, I wanted a challenge. You see, I had read so much information about other people making huge amounts of money from the Internet, I decided I wanted a piece of that Cherry Pie.
But where to begin? What would I sell? Confusion, confusion, confusion!

Well the only way I was going to learn was to read loads of articles on the Internet and to learn through trail and error.

So, I set about reading articles from the Internet and even wasted about $200 buying products that claim I would become rich and wealthy if I employed the money making systems they spoke about.

You guessed it. I lost my money and did not make a dime. So how could I own an online business and make it a success?

Well the first mistake I made was not to identify what I wanted to make my business about.
Was it going to sell products or was it going to sell/provide a service?

You see the 2 are completely different and must be approached in different ways.

Selling products involves several key factors.
1. You need to buy stock
2. You need a place to store it
3. You need to understand how much stock to buy.
4. You need a reliable supplier offering good prices.

Selling services involves several key factors.
1. Having a service people need
2. Supplying an after sales service
3. and more

So I read about each one intern. What were the benefit and disadvantages of both.

Then I came up with a solution that had all the good points of both with virtually no disadvantages.
The concept is known as "Affiliate Marketing".
This is where I would sell others products and services yet hold no stock and would not need to offer any after sales support.
There are thousands of people on the Internet all trying to sell products and services. The problem is, many of them do not know how to market those products.
This is where Affiliate Marketing comes into it's own.

Basically, I sell other peoples products and services and make a commission on everything I sell. I do not have to hold stock. All I have to do is market the products and wait for people to buy.
This does mean I spend money on advertising but easily make that money back with the sales I generate.

So, if you are looking for a great way to have your own business and none of the problems that goes with it. Go for Affiliate Marketing.
