Defining the Sides: Star Trek Vs. Star Wars

Star Trek Vs. Star Wars

Science Fiction fans can generally be classified into two camps - 'Star Wars' and 'Star Trek'.

'Trekkies' are often fans of using great restraint when possible and overwhelming in nature. Most of the aliens they meet look vaguely like humans* who had a bad experience with a wax factory.

Fans of Star Wars are gluttons for sci-fi punishment. They either love being the all-powerful evil being or the scrappy underdog. Trekkies are rarely underdogs. Star Wars aliens seem to have either scales or fur and are also roughly humanoid in nature*.

*Roughly human shapes for aliens are necessary or else conventions would be very boring.

Action Figures - Good for Star Trek? or Creepy old Men?

I seem to run across a lot more Star Trek Action Figures than Star Wars action figures, weirdly enough. I guess the question is, are action figures of middle aged men in one piece suits a vote for or against Star Trek? I'm honestly not sure...

USS Enterprise says:

Even Nasa acknowledges we are the best by naming one of it's Space Shuttles Enterprise, you dont see any Millenium Falcons in space.

Gul Dukat says:

The truth is Star Trek has been a huge sucess both in the movie theaters and in the TV series, it has reached a top level of fan support that has been ever growing. Treekies vs. Star Wars Fans hummm, id say we only need to send the Jem'Haddar and they are finished.

Julio says:

Star Wars is great, you know it has all it needs to be good, but Star Trek has more substance, more body to the story. Star Wars is just the Rebels and Jedis vs. the Empire and Sith. In Trek you have a more wide variety of races and rivalries, plus its to a certain point more realistic, (i know its sci-fi) but it depicts a future of the human race some centuries into the future. Star Trek was going on for four years before the Wars came along. I admire and respect Star Wars and its fans but to me the best is, has and always will be STAR TREK.

A Serious Treekie says:

I agree with Bob; Star Wars is becoming a kids universe. But I also disagree...the new Star Trek movie was a disaster. The only bright part was Leonard Nimoy (the old Spock)! It just isn't the same without William Shatner there for the ride. Anyone out there who says the new Star Trek was even worth the satisfaction IS NOT A REAL TREKKIE!!! Looking forward to the next one, though, because there is a chance of William Shatner to return! They will have to ressurect him because...of course he died in Star Trek Generations. BRING THE CAPTAIN BACK TO HIS CHAIR!!!! Anyways...movies that say 'Long time ago...' IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!! I know what you are saying "Hey! [insert pushing up glasses] It was in 'a galaxy far, far away'!!!" Okay, see your point but IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE THE HUMAN RACE ON A DIFFERENT PLANET NOW!!! In Star Trek, it takes place in the future where man sets out to explore the Final Frontier. COULD HAPPEN!!! Plus, Star Wars copied Trek, because Trek came first! Star Trek creator, Gene Roddenberry thought off space travel and adventures in space and space ships before man even went to the moon! George Lucas came up and said "Oooo...Great Idea! I'll use it! Now...so to make it different I'll make it in the PAST not the FUTURE...now the name...ooh, since there is fights instead of voyages I'll changed title to WARS instead of TREK...brilliant...MOTHER WILL BE SO PROUD!!!" STAR TREK WAS FIRST AND THE BEST!!! A Serious Trekkie out.

Bob says:

I used to be for Star Wars but the new Star Wars Animation is realy bad. And I saw the cartoon network series for about 1 second and hated it. The new Star Treck movie is pretty good though. Robot Chicken Star Wars is good, but Star Wars is becoming more of a little kid's thing:)

sndlsktty says:

Star Trek invented media fandom!

SMA-INC says:

STAR TREK WILL BEAT STAR WARS BUTTOOTI ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

bob says:

Star Trek Does Have Good technology. The Genesis device the v''Jer plasma burst oh yes and the Sun crusher. Star sars Only has the Death star which takes forever to fire.

elle says:

TREK! Trek trek trek! Wars is a great story, but Trek really has inspired so many of the greatest scientists and innovators today. Star Trek has a lasting impact on viewers and it will really lead us into the future.

scassidy6960 says:

love them both!

Soldier_of_Rome says:

sorry starwars lazers cant penetrate trek navigation shield. so trek wins in space, but only in starwars can people force pull starships out of orbit. as for stopping a sith lord trek has little hope, but jedi a peace keepers so chances of a battle between star fleet and the republic are really low. and a fight against the empire would end up with the empire getting slagged like they did against the rebels in episode IV and VI. the deciding factor for me is the pacing though, star wars always had a much faster pace then startrek however since the new startrek movie came out i must say that star wars has officially been beaten (congrats Abrams you've converted me)

desertdarlene says:

It's hard to decide as I like both. Star Wars does seem to have more of a fantasy element to it compared to Star Trek, though.

LIP says:

The death star and the borg shoujld just team up to destroy everyone of course then the borg would assimalate all of the empire

LIP says:

Its really impossible to say but thet'd be evenly matched

LIP says:

Star trek would definantely win. Star wars doesn't think things through our strategize while star trek has faster ships and could evade the star wars ships until formulating a plan furthermore the star wars sheilds don't stop transport devices so the characters of star trek could beam into a star wars ship give the cordinates of the crucial parts and beam them into space.

jeremiah says:

i like star trek to and star wars

bob says:

star trek is so much better, first star trek wins with the borg.the lasers that strwars uses is no match against the borg because they would simply adapt to it, and then they would assimilate the ship or destroy it, and apparently it is no easy task to destroy one borg cube. Also, cloaking devises, starwars rarley has it, but startrek uses it on a constant basis, all they got to do is position themselves behind a fleet of star destroyers and then it would be a turkey shoot. starwars uses "deflector shields" which really does nothing, startrek shields absorbs the laser fire so the ship takes less damage. And those little fighters that starwars uses so often, no match against the ships phasors. And then you might say starwars uses the force. so what startrek doesn't fight on land, because they don't need to, plus starwars doesn't have transporters so jedi have no chance of boarding a ship, and the startrek ships docking bays are all closed. But what if starwars managed to land a boarding party, it still doesn't matter because startrek can set up force fields to halt the boarding party. But even then you can still say DEATH STAR. well , if the rebels found out that a narrow trench that leads to the station's destruction, i'm sure startrek can figure that out too before the death star gets assimilated. but just one letter can end the disgussion in favor of startrek "Q"

Chris says:

I am a fan of aspects of both. However, as I get older I find myself more and more in the Star Trek camp. Anyone who says Trek has no heart has never watched Deep Space Nine or the original Star Trek movie Trilogy. There have been some truly great, emotionally engaging pieces in this franchise, and they certainly stand out more when compared to the heartless cynicism and cashing-in quality of the 4 most recent Star Wars films. Star Wars keeps looking more and more like shallow fantasy and Star Trek continues to surprise me with more and more adult, human stories as I plow my way through shows I had never watched before.

shelby says:

im a totally trekkie since i was nine!!!!

Jar Jar Binks says:

new star trek movie is better then the phantom menace

Jar Jar Binks says:

Q VS. STAR WARS = STAR TREK WINS.

BLACK MAN says:

FUCK IT

Luke Crywalker says:

As far as why your Star Trek is crisper than your Star Wars... Maybe they passed it through a filter to clean it up or something? Possible they left the Star Wars alone for authenticity? No idea, that seems wierd to me.

Luke Crywalker says:

I also am a huge fan of both Star Trek and Star Wars. That being said, I enjoy Star Trek toying with real world theoretical science. Star Wars 4,5,6 and the expanded universe are really great but I found the prequel trilogy to be a bit weak and so full of holes and inconsistencies that I begin to wonder if Lucas ever read his own scripts. I do love Star Wars, but I enjoy Star Trek on a deeper level.
If it came to an all out battle between the two, well...
The quantum slipstream drive that has been mentioned does seem to be faster than hyperspace, however, as has been mentioned only Voyager was ever equipped with it outside of the Borg Collective and, as has also been mentioned, it nearly killed them. As such I highly doubt the Federation would risk using it in a wartime situation.
When it comes to the Force, it would really depend on which universe the battle ended up taking place in. If the Star Trek universe invaded the Star Wars universe, the Force would certainly be a deciding factor. The extent of how deciding would depend on when in the timeline the invasion happened. For instance right after the death of both the emperor and Vader, not so many Force users around, hence, less important.
However, if the Star Wars universe were to invade the Star Trek universe, the Force would be irrelevant. In the expanded universe it was suggested that the Force is directly tied to the galaxy, as such, if you leave the galaxy, no more connection to the Force.
When it comes to ships, Star Wars does have an advantage, but not in every way.
Star Wars primarily focuses on very large ships with tons of firepower and heavy armor.
Star Trek is geared more towards smaller more maneuverable ships.
Star Wars uses a strategy of "shoot lots and hope you hit something" similar to the strategy used by the US military in Vietnam where an average of 10,000 (or so) shots were fired for every kill.
Star Trek has an advantage here, they don't aim (not really anyway). So as far as accuracy, Star Trek wins.
That being said, Star Wars wins hands down in the survivbility department. Star Trek weapons (with the possible exception of the Borg and species 8472) would have a very difficult time carving through the hulls of Star Wars warships, especially imperial StarDestroyers and Mon Cal cruisers.
As far as shielding, it seems to me that Star Wars shields only reduce the damage from weapons where Star Trek shields eliminate it (at least until they start to fail, which they seem to do regularly). As far as how much firepower each of the shields can withstand, as far as I can tell any information on this is pure speculation for both parties.
While I'm sure that the shields from Star Wars could withstand, or at least minimize, at least a few phaser blasts, and maybe survive a torpedo, where as I'm not so sure about Star Trek shields surviving a turbo laser.
Though, refering back to the speed and accuracy, Star Wars ships might have a bit of a harder time hitting Star Trek ships, and as such its not purely decisive.

Over all I think Star Wars would probably win in an all out war. But I didn't chose Star Wars did I?

I chose Star Trek because the writers and authors actual read science before they write, where as Star Wars seems to have no regard for the laws of physics. Though I blame Lucas himself for this shortcoming. Still, while I do dearly love Star Wars, for me Star Trek wins out.

p.s. PARSECTS ARE A UNIT OF DISTANT DAMN IT!!!! *smacks Lucas upside the head*

N Brown says:

I love both series but am suprised that the old star trek movies look better in hi def than Star wars 1 hi def I just got. Can anyone explain this? The star wars movie is much grainier, the original Star trek movie is crisper. This makes no sense to me.

Jack O'Neil says:

Star Trek is for smart peopl ,Star Wars is for little kids,it like looking at a cartoon.

Obi -Wan says:

Species 8472 would distroy the Dath Star with 7 or 8 ships. The Q would kill the Jedi and the Sith with a snap of his finger. The Klingons would slice the stormtropers up.The Borg would turn the ewoks in to borg taddy baers.Spock would hit the Dath Star 2 with Red Matter and suck it into a Black Hole. Star Trek wins , Make it so.

H. Ford says:

The Borg would go back in time and alter the star wars timeline. The Borg would take over before Yoda was ever born.

Nomad says:

Star Wars is nothing more than a fairy story for little kids,it's Robin Hood with droids and lasers. With a faintly alarming and disturbing quasi religous 'Force' that requires you not to think for yourself

Jon says:

In star trek u have the transphasic torpedo. One shot, one kill. You also have the armor future admiral janeway brought back. In addition, the federation has quantum slipstream drive, which is actually faster than hyperdrive.

Quinton D. Crawford says:

Star Trek stories are mainly about life principles, saving the innocent, Earth is involved, and building alliances for the growth of civilized behavior. Star Wars seems to be a little more into fights, killing, and class warfare. Most of today's inventions are leaning towards copying Star Trek technological items, and social structure.

AMC says:

I'm a fan of both, but tend lean more towards Trek. I think I'm attracted more to the utopian phylosophies and toying around with real-world science. Star Wars is great for when I'm in the mood for an epic fantasy-style story with a futuristic setting.

jjaysmoker says:

STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION ONLY

Merek says:

Startrek: I was star wars until Lucas screwed it up!

Allen M. says:

They are both great. Star Trek was first; it lead the way. It is more for TV. Star Wars is made for the movies. It is a one or two or three set venue. Star Trek kept going week after week, after week. These are four star productions that rang with such films as the Wizard of Oz, Lord of the Rings, Gone With the Wind, Titanic, and of course Citizen Kane, etc.

Candy Fruitrock says:

Star Trek was the best thing to happen to the Galaxy in 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 years times infinity!

Beverly says:

Star Trek, baby!! I enjoyed it because it seemed more realistic as far as sci-fi goes (and utopian-like technologically advanced futures go). It also had alot of influence on the gadgets we use today, such as flip-phones and even automatic doors. Star Wars had more action and better music, but I dont recall the last time I saw any hover bikes in real life. And let's just take a look at the character "versus", line up:

Spock - smarter than Han Solo, has the neck pinch thing.
Captain Kirk - gets way more lovin than Solo.
Captain Picard - could whoop Solo and Luke with one hand behind his back and is about the age of both of them put together.
Data - faster than yoda and makes C3PO look like a toaster.

Just a few examples...

Besides, would you rather be involved in a 'trek' or a 'war'? I'm thinking one sounds more fun than the other.

Gary McNamara says:

Startrek has continued for well over 40 years now,it has inspired many people to become Scientist..even had a spaceshuttle named after the ENTERPRISE. even a hand held body scanner now being developed by German Scientist.(probably STAR TREK fans)
erm I dont think anyones found the Force yet...or created a wookie..so I rest My case

admiralglass says:

My vote goes to Star Trek. Why George Luas made those new Star Wars movies? You can beam me up any time Scotty:)

Danielle says:

Captain Kirk FTW! As much as I loved Star Wars IV,V and VI, the mere existence of I, II and III makes it hard for me to take George Lucas seriously ever again. Star Trek was hilariously campy when it began, because that was the style of the time, but it also delved into some interesting/serious topics.

David says:

I agree, Star Wars is WAY less realistic where as Star Trek holds your attention(If you have a long attention span) and embrace the science of the story. I honestly like the science better than the fantasy.

sam says:

if youre a kid, its normal that you like star wars better but when you grow up well you should like star trek better because yourer not an immature kid

faithfuljim says:

Definately Star Trek. In comparisom, Star Wars seems like a bunch of froth--over-the-top special effects with no real depth. As someone mentioned that Star Treck has many references to literature and has greater depth of characters. I love the holideck also.
But, perhaps the main thing which influences my choice is my Christianity. Star Wars is based on Eastern mystical religion. God is replaced by "the force," which has its good and bad sides. This is entirely and Eastern concept. Of course I must admit that in some Star Trek episodes, the character of Q seems to be a God figure, although on closer examination, I feel he could as well be an angel or achangel. And God is mentioned in severlal Star Trek episodes. In the episode "Bread and Circuses," even "the Son" is mentioned, referring to Jesus. "It's not the sun in the sky, it's the Son s-o-n" And then Kirk says somethig like: "Yes, Ceasar and Christ--they had them both."

OnlyFunStuff says:

Got to be Star Trek no question, plus they ruined star wars with the latest 3 movies and messing with the first 3.

Jean=A=Luc says:

The differences between the two are implied in the titles themselves.
Wars: (action, over-the-top heroes, princesses/queens in distress, flashing lights, pop-corn fantasy)

Trek: (exploration, character development, pursuit of knowledge, intellectual/philosophical themes)

Star Wars has provided me with much fun but it could never compete with the much deeper satisfaction I gain from Trek.

I love how each of the Trek series has a musical theme to it: Uhura with the lyre and singing, Data and his violin, Harry Kim with the clarinet, the Doctor and 7 of 9 singing, Klingon operas, the singing of the genetically modified quartet (in DS9).

Also the Trek's many references to classical plays and literature, historical character, Trek has always endeavored to bring culture to people which is worthy of respect.

It has also inspired technological development (like automatic doors and cell phones), one episode of TNG even had Stephen Hawking on, how can you beat that? :)

Q says:

You Warries think you could destroy us Trekkies easy! Well you cant. The death star is powerfull bat not the most powerfull.
Four easy ways for STAR TREK to destroy star wars.
1. Voyager with transphasyc torpedos. Fire 30 of them, the death star is destroyed.
2. Voyager with transphasyc torpedos and multiphasyc cloak. Cloak Voyager, go trought the death star in its core, decloak fire, cloak, warp.
(Or you can cloak a torpedo.)
3. 10 ships of species 8472. 9 of them fire at the one, and that one fire on the death star.
4. Q comes, snap his finger, and there is no more star wars.
The death star is dead!!!!
TREK IS THE BEST!!!
LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!!

sara says:

Just like everyone else here has mentioned, Star Trek is SciFi, while Star Wars is fantasy. Star Wars appeals to kids. It has a good premise, but at least the new trilogy was full of bad acting and WAY overdone special effects. Star Trek is a utopian future based in science. Science that is real NOW, and the technology of today. Star Wars uses techy words to make what it wants to accomplish happen. It sets up technology to make the story work. In Star Trek, the technology is part of the plot, the story, and its a much more organic evolution. Star Wars compares good and evil, black and white. Its very swashbuckling and noble, but its an opera. A drama. Star Trek explores the hope of a future where humans have figured out how to be a part of the universe, in harmony. Its about first contact, finding commonalities among markedly different beings and cultures. Finding out where we all came from. Its a broader, philosophical look at the human condition. Star Wars explores emotions, and good and evil, but it really never gets past its own characters. Star Wars in that sense is selfish, where Star Trek is all encompassing, universal. It is an explorer, and Star Wars is a hero, tragic, a drama. Taking all of that, Star Trek appeals to me. I have my Star Wars days, but Star Trek just takes my mind to the stars. Star Wars is an indulgent fantasy. Star Trek is a future, a viable future that I can work for. now.

feyaia says:

If I want action and can overlook realllly bad acting, it's Star Wars All The Way. If I want my eye candy to have a good plot, and some decent acting, it'sStar Trek. Humm, does anyone think we will ever see a Star Wars TV series?

just a thought.

Jake says:

I like it, the aliens look less ugly.

Draconius says:

Star Trek because the Q can turn the SW galaxy into a marshmellow.

Twobit says:

I really couldn't vote, since I liked the both of them for their own reasons. The gritty Star Wars, or I guess the more realistic Star Trek... realistic in my mind because it's our possible future one day, and Star Wars.. sure maybe at some point but that's much more distant.

Samantha S. says:

I prefer Star Trek, because of the amazing psychological development of the characters and the overwelming amount of philosophical undertones in every episode.

I enjoy fantasy stories as much as the next person, but Star Wars dosen't do it for me. I admire Captian Piccard and Mr.Spock's use of intellect and logic over the balls out action that the heros of Star Wars provide.

Preffering Star Trek is logical.

Voll says:

Jim Kirk is the greatest character in all of fiction, and could defeat Han Solo and James Bond at once - though his victory would come via cheating, which actually makes it even sweeter.

dude are you stupid? you expect me to grab a stupid stick and play like that "star wars kid" in youtube? I'm sorry if i didn't make myself clear, the reason why i say star wars is like futurama is because star wars is fantasy and action. star trek on the other hand is more science based, and the fact that star wars stared with "long time ago in a galaxy far far away" doesn't help. also the fact that star wars never update itself as science and technology progress over the years also doesn't help. so don't give me the spec shit, it's more like you telling me your damn pentium 2 is 10ghz, if you are like star trek and say pentium 4 at 5ghz atleast it's more plausible. the "religious capital ship" you guys love so much does look like a sea-ship with rocket tubes on the back, ask anyone with eyes. anyways i watch star trek for the science and philosophy of it. if i want to watch a adtion movie i'll watch new blockbusters and if i want fantasy that is stupid i watch futurama or family guy. i dont' have anything star trek actually other than what i've learned. have fun with your battery powered stick though, i'm out.

Jonah says:

all you trekkies can suck it star wars all the way

John says:

Oh great "Toechopper" on august 4, 2009

reply to question 1-6, star wars is not even science fiction. since you guys so good at looking at specs maybe you guys should watch futurama and be like "oh no way", it "owns" or like "yeah dude" then like some "it rocks"? i mean atleast they don't attach rocket tubes to a 1980's destroyer and enlarge it and call it a space ship, and 1 more thing is the stupid laser tubes from the stormtroopers. lasers don't shoot in tubes, it's a beam. also most star wars guy will be like oh my laser gun in my issd is like sooooooo powerful. how you suppost to generate that much energy from that small gun, or that stupid 1980's nuclear reactor. atleast make it like a array to focus multiple guns like star trek. oh and so hyperdrive takes a ship into hyper space which a ship can go at anyspeed because the space is "unique", so once is in their rockets will propell them. i personally don't take any of these bullcrap, i swear even futurama's "space moves instead of the ship" makes more sense. but then again what do you expect from a longgggg timeeeeeee ago in a galaxy farrrr farrrrrrrr awayyyyyyyyy.

v00 says:

Star wars is like a a whole bunch of fantacy fanatics, the ship they worship is like a normal distroyer with pointing out guns but added a few rocket tubes at the back. Funny thing they never explian how their 1950's nuclear reactor powers all that stuff, and how a small laser gun can generate the massive power they advertise. Atleast don't be stupid and make it like star trek's phaser array, since is physically impossible to generate that much power through a small laser gun it make sense to gather generators focus it and make it into a array. But i suppost they will throw at me some futurama specs soon?

Lorne "Adama" Greene says:

It's all space opera. Both series jumped the shark, but Shatner's funnier than Ford.

Rachel says:

Star Wars is based on Medieval philosophy while Star Trek (TNG) is based on Modern philosophy. That's a fact.

Star Trek for smart people...

Star Wars...more for those DnD types who are still having wet dreams.

ZOOM says:

STAR TREK IS SO MUCH BETTER!

Hai says:

Sith545 forgets the borg, mass produced and powerful ships.
Star Trek also features aliens with teleporting or telepathic abilities.
What of "Q" a character in "The Next Generation" series, who seems to be able to contol anything in the blink of an eye.

Phil says:

I used to be a total star wars fan until i realized how bad star wars was. Sith545 said "You Trekkies are all the same if you came over to our side you would see why we would taste victory", Well yes, i was on your side. It tasted like shit. Star wars barely makes any sense whatsoever! I mean, the lightsabers, the dark side, blasters, lightsabers, the force....its just so ridiculous. And childish too. Star wars is just...overdone...

Star wars is barely even science fiction compared to star trek. Star wars is more like a mythological sort of thing.

Most of the star wars ships are made up of fighters...which is nothing compared to star trek.

The plot and story in star wars is even more ridiculous than the other aspects of it. Starwars is pretty much just a fairy tale.

kaboom says:

There are way more star trek shows then star wars. A borg cube can wipe out the death star with ease.

heavymetaltrekker says:

Star Trek Kicks So Much @$$, it's unbelievable. simply put, star wars can't compete. (Not judging by the last 3 star wars films anyway) The last time star wars put out anything of even the smallest merit was more than twenty years ago, while star trek has kept going strong with series after series including the underrated series "Enterprise" and most recently Star Trek XI, the greatest sci-fi story ever put onto film. And as for the whole lightsaber thing, im under the impression that while it might protect against a hand phaser, it wouldn't stand a chance against, say, ship board phasers or a single photon torpedo. so suck on that.

Kam says:

Star Wars is soooo much cooler than Star Trek

iggythepiggy says:

Star Trek XI has sucessfully converted an entire, younger generation into becoming fans of the beloved older series--ensuring it's survival for many more years to come (with two additional movies on the way). CONGRATULATIONS J.J. AND CAST!!!

Suck on that for a while, Star Wars.

retardis says:

Star Wars is fantasy. Star Trek is science fiction. Comparing the two is a false dichotomy. My personal take is attributed with these two distinctions clearly at it's base. The older I get the more I enjoy Star Trek. That being said as a youth in the 1980's Star Was was clearly something I watched, imitated and worshiped. It is ultimately a choice based on what is dearer to your heart Fantasy or Science Fiction. One is a double cheeseburger of fantasy with a slice of science fiction. The other it's polar opposite.
Claiming that either is superior is just an exercise in futility

Liamo14 says:

Check out this list I made:1: the empire has the death star, but the cardassians made the star imploder, which is, obviously capable of destroying entire star systems.
2: look, i dont care how big a star wars fleet is, if you've ever seen any part of the dominion war, its a no brainer.
3: its obvious that hyperdrive goes at light speed. In star trek, thats warp 1. now, most star trek ships can go about warp 9.2 to 9.7, tops. that is at least 1649 times faster than the millenium falcon, supposedly really fast in star wars.
4: species 8472. if you haven't seen the voyager episode "scorpion", watch it, and you'll see what power they have over any star wars ship.
5: do you really think that 1 man fighters stand any chance against a ship like enterprise? or any star trek ship? that makes most star wars ships USELESS in combat.
6: this last one is better than anything, it makes the whole battle trivial and predecided. 2 words... The Q! one snap of their fingers, one little thought and BOOM! all the star wars ships are gone, vanished, erased from existance. not even the precious force wouldn't stand a chance against the mighty power of the Q! I'm still working on the rest AND YES THERE'S A LOT MORE! trek on, fellow geeks!

Ryan says:

The movies released in the past few years tells the tale of the tape. Star Trek blows Star Wars out of the water in balancing engaging characters, humor, visual/digital effects, and action. Recent Star Wars gluts on effects and action and has no strong story to hold it all together.

If you must judge a show/movie by its fans...all you need to do is look at all these comments. The Star Trek comments are refined, cultured, mostly in good taste. The Star Wars comments contain profanities, shallow, or just plain one liners. I rest my case!

Assunta says:

Star Wars is more of an action-adventure thing set in space. While Star Trek is truly sci-fi. Star Trek actually gets your neurons firing and working hard because of the complicated issues they often explore on the show. Star Wars is mostly just for fun, a wild ride, but offers little intellectual stimulus.
Overall, I have to choose Star Trek. It can also offer a fun show, with a wild ride, and still have intellectual stimulus. Sometimes you will be thinking for days about one issue or other they explored on the show.

Radio says:

Star Trek, no question. Star Wars doesn't qualify as science-fiction because there is no SCIENCE involved. Whereas star trek does. So it's really down to whether you want Fantasy or Sci-Fi.

geek-girl says:

I definetly like Star Wars, nothing wrong with it. But more for just a good night with popcorn and coke, when I feel like watching any cool action movie. Star Trek runs so much deeper; there's far more technology in it, more science, more character-development, (and therefore better real-life characters, no cliché's) more emotions and more psychology.
For every alien shown has a reference, a background. Aliens are not just put around because they look cool, like "hey, we have a bar-scéne here... let's put some fluffy creatures here for background decoration". And the amount of fluffy aliens in Star Wars is way too much! I get so much a Jim Henson-allergie when I watch too much Star Wars at once... especially episode VI, Return of the Jedi... the last 45 minutes, skip, please, skip! On the other hand, I absolutely love Yoda, especially in the original episodes. He's cool, funny, charismatic, adorable and wise. But that Han Solo, throw him out of the first air lock, I've never seen a more arrogant, irritating, self-loving macho, iiiiiiehw. (Yes, I'm a girl. And if I we're prinses Leia I would've slapped him in the face)
So... Star Wars is more for the action, the fighting, the cool-looking characters (love Vaders cape), the cute fluffy aliens and isolated, hot burning or freezing cold planets.
Star Trek is more for the science, technology, good storylines, emotions, exotic beautiful paradise-like planets (count me in for a trip to Risa) and, well, let's face it... better equiped starships. Laserbeams vs Photon Torpedo's... need I say more?

GUENTHER says:

STAR TREK IS BETTER FOR ANYONE WHO DISLIKES THE IDEA OF MAKING WAR FOR ANY REASON SOMEONE DISLIKES!!

Star Trek is for the brainy and logical kind of people. Star Wars is for the people who turn off their brain to watch! lol

GreenRednecks says:

Are you kidding? It's no contest. James Kirk could whip Luke Skywalker any day of the week. Star Wars was okay when it first came out. The new Star Trek movie breathes new life into Star Trek.

shopbestdirect says:

Tough call but I'll go with Star Trek. Although, I just saw a knock off of Star Wars on Family Guy. That was awesome!

Timothy Michael McHugh says:

I LOVE Star Trek, it is cooler than cool, it is ICE COLD! I LOATHE Star Wars because some Star Wars Goons say that the Federation that I cherish and revere as heroes if "fascist"! X-Wings suck, especially their design, and the Motion Pictures Enterprise rocks!

markacesmith says:

Star Trek is Star Wars on speed. Glad there's a new movie out.

Geez Lousie says:

George, are you crazy no need to go and sware over a movies! I like Star Wars a lot better than Star Trek, but you don't see me cussing to some Trekkie! Plus, do you need to go back to the 3rd Grade; because your Grammar is willy-nilly!

P.S. Really, A Serious Trekkie has a point.

george says:

don't believe me,believe Wikipedia:
HMS Enterprise was a 24-gun sixth-rate, previously the French frigate L'Entreprise, captured in May 1705. She was wrecked in October 1707.
as you can see, star trek has lied to you again.
if you want a realistic show, star trek sucks; but so dose every sf series.
NO one watch a sf show to learn,as you trekkies do!!!
you don't even learn, that's NOT science, not even close.
the assholes from star trek COMPLICATES thing instead of simplify it.
human brain works much better if things are simplify.
if they do that,no wonder they make the most stupid designs for starships:
only one computer core, instead of many
a structure that would collapse if not hold together by integrity fields.
no secondary warp core ejection system,as proven numerous times, if the
system doesn't work, the ship is doomed.
and the stupidity continues.
and the worst thing about star trek is its abomination with alien species designs: WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH ALL THOSE HUMANS WITH BAD HAIRCUT DAYS?
the Klingons are a good example: they drop they'll phasers and rage into battle with SWORDS..against phaser armed soldiers who can evaporate them...immediately... a species with this attitude would not even get into
an information age, considering they would totally be extinct once they
get they'll hands on nuks...we almost did in the cold war. someone like them
would have not have hesitate to use them.

george says:

mr USS Enterprise.
THE ENTERPRISE WAS A NAVAL VESSEL NAME LONG BEFORE GEENS

obiwans son says:

GEEN RODENPERY COPIED WAR OF THE WORLDS MOVIE FROM 1953.
Lucas DID not copy from puny little star trek, simply cuz it has a total different
setting.Oh,and people thought about space travel from Jules Verne...
and a Chinese also thought about flying to the moon long before that...
star trek did not invented ANYTHING NEW.
the cell phone,not star trek.

it was an idea before geen thought of star trek.
sorry to bust your world asshole.

...and reading one of the earlier comments made by GreenRedNecks: if Luke Skywalker were to ever fight Kirk, Skywalker would destroy Kirk with the Force, hands down.

executor says:

George, if I had a hat I'd tip it in your direction, wherever that is.

george says:

also, the common use attack on star wars is:
Lasers can't even penetrate the enterprise navigation shield!
this just shows how little REALITY you know.
first:YOU HAVE NO PROF FOR THIS.
second: star wars "lasers" are a PLASMA BASE WEAPONS,not lasers.
lasers are not visible in space, they move in only ONE continuity line and with
the speed of light. plasma base weapons have proven themselves a nightmare
for the enterprise shields numerous times.

george says:

What a trekkie would usually say is: "Star wars is for kids"
hehe..very smart move...for a nerd...
let me tell you something!
Star trek promotes communism and pseudoscience ...
that's right nerds.if you claim you learn science from star trek,YOU ARE WRONG.
trekies DON'T actually know ANY science,NOT EVEN A BIT of REAL science.
what you see in star trek is NOT even imaginative.
you know the difference between a nerd and a geek?
a geek might actually know a bit of science, while a nerd borrows himself in
technobabble with no connection to reality.
i chose star wars cuz i want to be ENTERTAIN,not learn science.
if you want to learn science, you reed a book or watch a tv documentary...
oh,wait...trekis can't...you don't understand it....that's why you chose star
trek...
and the federation! its NOT even worthy of the name "Federation"!
a federation is a DEMOCRATIC state, while it i is COMMUNIST!
star trek puts the federation in the center of the show cuz it promotes communism.
it has no money ( currency ),no economy, the starfleet is indistinguishable from
the government, and so on...
oh,and star trek also promotes technological masturbation!
if a family from star trek would go to the beach they would not take a bucket or
a show,they would take a fucking phaser or a fucking portable,whatever...
star trek sucks...its time to accept it! Geen Rodenpery sucks.and so do you..
NERDS.

executor says:

Star Wars just utterly PWNS Star Trek. as for all this talk about a battle between the empire and the Federation, it's all too clear that the Empire would obliterate the federation.

starwars says:

the force really is a pretty huge thing here. not so much in the movies, but in the expanded universe, you have jedi who can see into the past (Jason Solo) create "thought bombs" which kill HUNDREDS of OTHER JEDI (Brotherhood of Kaan) and you've got Darth Bane who, in Dynasty of evil, literally sucked the life force out of dozens of cultists and absorbed it for himself. he "aged them thousands of years in mere seconds" then you have techniques such as the force meld from the books about the Yuzhan Vong wars. so, in any kind of close quarters combat or boarding action, star wars wins. then you have the issue of civilians. Star wars has MILLIONS of palnets, the federeation has just a few hundred. on some of these planets there are only a few hundred colonists! then you've got Coruscant, which has a population of one TRILLION people. aside from that, the "civilians" of star wars are far far more militant, most of them carying blasters. also, http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/Essays/FiveMinutes.html that's right. boba fett is an excellent bounty hunter, and the Slave I is a good ship, but it is NOTHING next to a star destroyer. and the SLave I could take down the federations freaking flag ship. ergo in war, Star wars destroys. as for medical tech, star wars has bacta.

mark says:

yes, Q would kick everyones ass all over the place. but if it were just the mortals against each other, star trek would be pwnd. http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/Essays/FiveMinutes.html

i've read things saying that "phasers are way better" but if you look at the technical manuals from BOTH universes, you can see that the freaking Slave I could take out the enterprise D. its just ridiculous. and while Q is all powerful, i'd like to see him take on some of the anciet sith lords, like Bane and Andeddu.

elliminate says:

i vote for Darth Vader!

patlaker says:

Dude says:

STAR WARAS

bub says:

star wars rocks

Ownt says:

Star wars. Their technology greatly outmatches star trek, and in a battle between the Fed and the Empire, let's just put it this way. The flagship of the Fed, the Enterprise, has roughly equivilent shields and engine speed to Boba Fett's personal spacecraft, Slave I. In that case, note that Slave I would still dish out more damage than the Enterprise, and its just a bounty hunter's craft. NOT an Empire crusier, battleship or destroyer, just a freakin craft. I mean, the Death Star would obliterate the Fed's planet by planet, while the Enterprise can happily be contented with keeping their shields up while an empire destroyer batters them to space dust.
To sum up, I'll quote from http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/Essays/FiveMinutes.html: "The Empire squashes the Fed's like a bug. Even without their numericial advantage, they would still squash the Fed's like a bug."

I will say that Lucas sucks and the only reason the original movies were any good was because he had help making them. Also, Trek is awesome and I really enjoy the secular egalitarian political view of the series. The borg are totally badass too. Being a Jedi complete with light saber is really hard to compare to the fantasy you could have on the hollow deck. Riker gets laid more than I saw any star wars charater, but I didn't see any devious jedis use the mind trick to pick up ladies.

Darth Greebo says:

Star Wars didn't have to make a WHOLE NEW REALITY to get their fans back....because Star Wars fans never left. Mego made Star Trek figures....and failed. Kenner made Star Wars figures....and became Hasbro, one of the largest toy companies on the planet. Can't argue the numbers, son.

STAR WARS IS THE BEST FUCKING MOVIE IN THE WORLD!!!!!! the only reason the new star trek was good is because it had Simon Pegg i mean only reason ONLY

star wars

Immature_Entrepreneur says:

Star Wars definitely comes out on top here. While the more recent versions of Star Trek have a bit more to offer, Star Wars is simply far more interesting and entertaining. Trek comes across as very stiff and boring to me. Long live the force! :)

Kane says:

I really do like both worlds, but I think if it came down to all out war Star Wars would win. Not because its vastly superior or anything, but just because its all ABOUT war. The Federation relashonship with the Klingons is like a 50's Cold War, while the Galatic Civil war is an all out battle. Star Wars simple has more guns, bigger ships, and a fucken Death Star...Its got death in the name.

Nomad, what the hell afe you talking about dam trekie?
you have APOLLON in trek,Q-a full god-,the Caretaker-a demigod-and you
acuse Star wars of "fairy tales"?
talk about arrogance!
oh,and for all trekies that will reed this:
morality in star trek is LOW!
if starfleet would meet a pre-warp civilization that is in full massacre,
what would they do:NOTHING!
they would stay in orbit while billions are killed!
they would reed shakespear and do nothing!!!!!!!
HOW LOW IS THAT!

Atlas says:

There is absolutely no way that Star Trek could beat Star Wars. First of all Star Wars has the force. This enables the Sith to choke and shock people, and enables the Jedi to push and pull people. Second of all Star Wars has the ability to block lasers and Star Trek doesn't have melee weapons other than knives and fists. Lastly Star Treks only hop would be the Borgs ability to assimilate the weapons so that they prove ineffective. This would work on Han Solo and other blaster users but would prove ineffective on Jedi and Sith because the Borg cannot assimilate melee weapons. Therefore Star Wars wins and Star Trek loses.

George says:

"In addition, the federation has quantum slipstream drive, which is actually faster than hyperdrive."

Edit to previous post:

Yikes.

John, I just re-read the post I made on August 8, and realized you thought that last paragraph(about puttng on the Spock ears, grabbing the lightsaber, etc.)was directed to you personally, when in fact *that* part was intended for any other people who might be reading all this and thinking, "what a couple of nerds". I should have clarified that better.

*headdesk*

As for the rest, it's all good You prefer Trek, I prefer Wars. No reason to let that difference spiral into a flame-fest; it's just too silly. So disregard my previous snarkiness, and Trek on.

Peace.

Toechopper says:

*shakes head sadly*

Perhaps the Borg had it right, after all. Perhaps, sometimes, resistance really *is*....futile.

Toechopper says:

To "John" and "v00"(who I suspect are one and the same)on August 7, 2009:

1. Right. Star Wars is merely set in space, and features spaceships and aliens. Nothing "science fiction" about that.

2. Futurama? Who said anything about Futurama?

3. Attach rocket tubes to 1980s sea-going warships, enlarge them, and call them spaceships? Tee Hee. I leave the awful, *painful* absurdity of that statement to speak for itself.

4. As you correctly pointed out, the characteristics of Star Wars rayguns bear no resemblance to lasers, therefore they *aren't* lasers, whatever label is slapped on them. If someone decided to call a modern M-16 assault rifle a 'musket', would that mean the M-16 is really a primitive, single-shot, 18th century black powder firearm? The word 'turbolaser' could simply be an outdated, 'holdover' term that has continued in use long after its actual relevance fades. After all, it's not uncommon to hear people talk about 'cranking their cars' or 'cranking up their music' even though cars and music players haven't had manual cranks for eons.

5. You generate that much power in a small gun by having highly advanced technology. To borrow a timeless quote from Arthur C. Clarke: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Besides, if we step *outside the sandbox* and look at things from a real-world standpoint, is it any more realistic to show Star Trek hand phasers supposedly capable of disintegrating people? Little, if any, of the exotic technology seen in either Trek *or* Wars is even remotely feasible in real life.

6.Star Wars power plants aren't "1950s/1980s nuclear reactors". They are described in official literature as 'hypermatter reactors', whatever that may mean. Besides, as with #4, capabilities are more important than labels. Even if they *were* described as traditional nuclear reactors, that is easily refuted by direct observation. They don't look or act like 20th century nuclear fission reactors, therefore they *arent* 20th century nuclear fission reactors.

7. Star Wars capital ships are studded with independent gun batteries from bow to stern, which can be coordinated to fire on a single target, or used to fire on multiple targets simultaneously. If you "channel all your guns into a single array" then that single array can be knocked out by a single hit, which we've seen happen to Trek ships on more than one occasion.

8. Your description of how hyperdrive works actually sounds a lot more like how 'subspace propulsion' is described to work in Star Trek.

By the way, I'm sure at this point *many* people are rolling their eyes and saying "get a life", or "its not real", or "what a bunch of pathetic geeks", etc. But if you are here, reading this, it's too late. YOU ARE ONE OF US. Don't deny it. Come out of the closet. Embrace your inner nerd, put on your Spock ears, grab your plastic lightsaber, and JOIN THE DARK SIDE!! Everybody needs a good dose of silliness once in a while. I promise...we won't tell on you. :)

Toechopper says:

This is a reply to the post made by "Liamo 14" on July 4, 2009, in which he lists six reasons why he thinks Trek is superior. You might want to read that one first, so you'll know what I'm replying to.

1. And of course, as we all know, this mysterious "star imploder" saved the day for the Cardassians during the Dominion War, allowing them to effortlessly crush their foes and emerge as the supreme, undisputed power in the galaxy, right? Oh, wait! Never mind, I forgot...that didn't happen, did it?

2.So it is a "no-brainer" that the Feddies and their little playmates would easily handle fleets of kilometer-long star destroyers, swarms of fighters, and Executor-class command ships the size of Manhattan Island? I had no idea Star Trek was so tough. But of course, this begs the question of why a fleet of forty Starfleet vessels got their buttocks handed to them by a single Borg cube at Wolf 359, doesn't it?

3.Wrong. You obviously base this claim on Han Solo's comment that the Falcon can travel ".5 factors past lightspeed" and have taken this to mean 1.5 c; however, the travel times in Star Wars are invariably depicted as a matter of hours or days, even when travelling between core and rim worlds. Because of the vast distances of interstellar space, this is manifestly *impossible* without speeds which are many tens of thousands, if not *millions* of times faster than lightspeed. Clearly, whatever ".5 factors past lightspeed" means, it *cannot* be a paltry one-and-a-half times c, and just as clearly, Star Wars ships would run rings around Trek ships. If you're still not convinced, watch Voyager. How long did it take them to get back home? Seven *years*, I believe?

4.YGBSM! The "organic" bio-ships of Species 8472, pitted against fleets of mammoth kilometer-long warships and hordes of fighters carrying missiles, bombs, and torpedoes? Can you say...'squish' ?

5.Do *you* really think that the Enterprise, or any other Trek ship, would stand a chance when confronted by *hordes* of those "1-man fighters" launching missiles, bombs, and torpedoes from all directions, which the Trek ships would be all but helpless to stop because they have virtually no fighters of their own?

6.Ah, yes. The Q. And obviously, the Q Continuum would surely come rushing to the rescue, just like they did against the Borg, and the Dominion, and the...oh, wait; I'm sorry, I forgot. The Q *didn't* rush to the rescue during any of those crises, did they? Whatever their powers may be, the Q are *hardly* a band of gallant knights in shining armor; if anything, they have come close to destroying humanity with some of their past antics.

You say you have 'a lot more' reasons why Trek is superior, but if they're all of this caliber, maybe you'd better just keep them under your hat. You *sure* you're not a warsie in disguise? :)

I have to say that I love them both.......unique stories, adventure, characters.......but I say Star Wars......here's my point, if there is that much love for Star Trek, why aren't there websites like these for Star Trek: Star Wars Halloween Costumes

Lots of other places do Star Trek but I think many people view it as the "old school" sci-fi and many of the younger generations don't see it as cool. Maybe that will change now that the new Star Trek movie has come out.......I thought was very cool! Star Wars on the other hand has the power of George Lucas and has reinvented itself again and again with merchandising, films, cult followings, animation.....Sorry to all the Trekkies....you are still loved!

Right, now that all six proper Star Wars films are done with, Trekkers aren't afraid to bring out the unitards. Think about why Star Trek needed a reboot in the first place! Stuffy dialogue and facial putty are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid...

reven reborn says:

i totaly agree with sith545 you trekies just dont get it. you guys think you could win but we have lightsabers (which can deflect your cute little stun guns) we have as sith545 pointed out THE STAR FORGE not to mention darth reven vader luke and the rebels. SUCK ON THAT TREKIES!

Amy_Williams says:

I picked Star Wars, but seriously, Star*gate* is the best, by far!

Meg says:

When you get to StarTrek battles... I think a photoshop tutorial has more action.

sith545 says:

You Trekkies are all the same if you came over to our side you would see why we would taste victory and fellow SW fans you seem to be forgetting our most powerful weapons such as:The Star Forge the ancient Rakatan Empire and The old Republic were also very powerful. The Star Forge could produce a massive amount of Leviathens/Star destroyers and grunt fighters they all would eventually take the enterprise down. Exar Kun (the greatest Jedi who ever lived) would easily take the enterprise down by himself his lightsaber is made of life itself and i know it would be able to block a puny phaser toy gun Our shapeshifting species would also easily disguise himself as one of your trekkies. Boba fett would also deafeat captain picard and his whole crew and yes boba fett is still alive so if you are a trekkie who thought he died in the sarlacc no hes still alive a simple jawa would embaress data by shooting him with his stun gun used on droids/robots. So go ahead and try your Vulcan neck pinch on us i dare you you would surely fail.

torontorealestate says:

Both are great, but while star trek is for nerds, star wars is hewart touching for the majority!

Darth Poverish says:

Both had great characters, but Star Wars had the force, and light sabers and the greatest bad guys ever the Sith. Darth Vader is the greatest criminal of all time. He has Lex Luthor beat, Megatron, the Borg, Cleagons you name it. Captain Kurt is the man, but is he more charismatic than Han Solo. I am not sure. But the edge has to go to Star Wars.

mivlipod says:

star Wars No doubt.
I am great collector of star wars figures lol

EStman says:

The ONLY Flaw in STAR WARS is that there are no INtelligent ENERGY BEINGS!!! And dont u dare to count those Jedi ghosts into this!
Star trek has Energy beings, but There are TOO FEW EXOTIC species overall. THere are too many HUmanoid species( AS Star trek couldnt easily think out of the box)

STar trek Everyday technology(replicators, Holodecks, teleporting) could Change STar wars universe into a more peaceful position. only few Star wars techs would help Star trek like Droids. Droids have unique feel. Like DATA but they are more DIVERSE. That would Shake up things. I Realy hope that there Would be a DRoid planet in Delta Quantrant.

Buti if i would still choose my favourite it would be still STAR WARS. Tech Changes slowly there, BUT The IDEAS, MAGIC AND ADVENTURE NEVER WOULD change at all. ITs this fact gives Road to fantasy!!!

Thoon says:

I prefer the story and technology of Star Wars more than Star Trek. I honestly could never get into ST as a kid because of how boring it was. Yes, at first that seems to support the "SW is all bells and whistles, ST has all the meat" argument, but that's not correct as what drew me into SW was the story. There was really peril for the heroes, and a good sense of morals. They were fighting oppression and annihilation, not just skipping about the galaxy and constantly running into trouble (which is how I saw Trek as a kid).

That said, I can appreciate both franchises, and I don't get upset when someone says Trek is better than Wars. It's all opinion, nothing more. What matters is that we all have a Star, be it Wars or Trek, that brings us entertainment and a good set of lessons.

I was obsessed with the first and original Star Wars as a kid. Even skipped school to watch it again and again. Did a school paper on it and got an A+. It is still better than all the other Star Wars' movies and Star Treks!

Lord Maliko says:

I like both Star Wars and Star Trek. I like Star Wars because its an epic universe in which I would love to live. I like Star Trek because its more possible; that's us, people. Star Trek is a possible future for us. But in the end, which universe would I live in given the choice? Definitely Star Wars.

squiddie96 says:

STAR WARS ROCKS!

Darth Hurudin (aka Hunter) says:

Star Wars. Star Trek is to boring with the exception of the movie. The Star Wars novels, comics, games, movies, and both the animated series were much better in every possible way then Star Trek. Star Trek is unoriginal unlike Star Wars were they mix it up with the story line (or story lines if you've played one or both of the KOTOR games) and with their aliens. Plus, it's more in depth with the technology, character bios, fighting styles, actual fights, and just everything ion general. It's as if whoever make Star Trek did it in a half hour as if it wasn't half-assed enough

tripwire181 says:

The whole argument is star trek is a society that is working for the greater good of civilizations and is about exploration of the galaxy , while star wars is about the struggle of balance of power that comes from one infinite source. the whole view of star wars is about the balance of power and that shift really for one man "anakin Skywalker" its his story. While star trek is about the federation and more about the enterprise. Neither one is better or worse but i will say this if you put a hudred borg in with one jedi they wouldn't last i mean come on people the borg couldn't last against a regular human being let alone a jedi? oh by the way you should watch fan boys. by the way im a fan of both!

Tony says:

STAR WARS ROCKS!!! Trekkies are pussies...

the one says:

star trek is so boring nothing happens for 10 episodes then!!!! I fall asleep.

Injakazi says:

the "science" in star trek is utter bollocks, completely made up to give the pseudonerds a hard on. Star wars is loved by far more because it doesn't even attempt to pretend to know how all this futuristic stuff works; so no, it isn't sci-fi and is better for it.

RangerSG says:

Babylon 5 trumps both. But if I have to choose, Star Wars.

mayssa says:

Star Wars is the best

Aayla Secura says:

Can Star Trek use the Force? Force Choke? Mind Force? James T. Kirk vs Anakin Skywalker? Of course the one who wields a lightsaber and knows how to use the Force is the winner.. Ya Ha!!
