Star Trek Online

Some people have WOW, and finally star trek fans will have Star Trek Online. The price of the subscriptions is about $15 per month. It gets cheaper if you subscribe at 3 months or more. They even have a lifetime subscription which is more geared toward the convenience of not having to pay from month to month.

More About The Game
Everyone will be able to captain their own ships and from what I read, as you upgrade to a bigger ship, you can still keep your other ships. You don't start out as a captain as a rank though, but from what I did read about it on their website, it won't take long to rise in rank. For months, sites have been forming around this game. Some of them have already been star trek RPG writing groups and are also branching out to cover Star Trek online. Many of these groups will probably be helpful as you progress through the game. You don't have to join these groups, but it may be more fun if you do. If you are a person whom loves playing video games and also loves star trek, you probably should check this game out.
My Opinons About the Game
I have to admit that I do love the game. I have been playing it since it was made available for open Beta. I also had preordered this game so I have been able to enjoy it like I should. This is also my first MMORPG. The game itself is not perfect, but nothing is perfect and they have their issues from time to time. The server itself has been down almost daily, but that is expected as you don't always know how much you are going to use. This game to me has been a whole lot of fun. Its a mixture of both ground and space missions. Some of them are rather long and yet others can be short. Some of the missions you can do all by yourself and yet others you may need some help to finish it up. They spur the idea of actually working with others for a common goal.

- Star Trek Online Tutorial Walkthrough - Hubpages
- When you first learn a new game, it can be confusing at first. Even though, there is a tutorial when you start the Star Trek Online game, sometimes you just need some sort of walk through. I had Beta tested this game when it was in open Beta. Let me tell you, I was confused and did get a bit lost in there. Now, I can go through the tutorial like no tomorrow and get through it in one day. It took me about two or three days when I was testing it out.

- As of the writing of this hub, Star Trek Online has been around for about six months.Of those six months, I have been playing it for about 4 or 5 months. - Star Trek Online: The First Year - Hubpages
- Star Trek Online really has come a long way since its release over a year ago. I knew about the game even before it came out and even had preordered it. Even after a year, my interest in Star Trek Online has increased. Some people have lost interest or gave up after the first month. I think part of the reason that I am still interested is because I am part of a very active fleet within STO. There are a few big fleets within STO and then there are plenty of small fleets too. I am part of one of the bigger ones and I am proud to be part of that. I like that because I usually have someone to play with when I am on. There is usually aways something going on.
- Star Trek Online: Featured Episodes
- So far, STO has three series that they had created. With each, the quality of those featured episodes has improved. The Breen Series was the first one. When I first played it, it took some time to figure out what to do. Now, when I play them, I just breeze through the missions like no tomorrow. Then there is the Devidian Series which has to do with the Devidians. Finally there is the Cloaked intentions which had to do with the Romulans and Remans. There was one mission in that series that got me stumped. When trying to do it, for the life of me I could not figure it out, but thinking back to the Breen Series, you had to do something similar. This series in fact had cut scenes. This probably was the best of all of the series that have created so far.
