Cleaning Pads for This Steam Mop
The cleaning pads are held in position on the base of the steam mop unit by velcro strips. Simply align them with the grippers on the base of the unit and smooth the surface. Very easy removal, just peel it away. The cleaning pads are re-usable, just wash in hot soapy water and rinse. I have found that one cleaning pad can easily last a year! I have had my steam mop for about 3 years now, and have only gone through one cleaning pad, (it's actually still usable, just a bit dingy looking) Slider Ring for the Steam Mop
The steam mop can clean many surfaces. The slider ring is only required when cleaning and freshening up your carpets. (Otherwise you simply just use the unit with the cleaning pads alone) You place the slider ring on the carpet surface and then place the steam mop with the cleaning pad attached to it on top of the slider ring. The mop just sits inside the slider ring. Slowly moving the mop back and forth to steam the carpet. (Note: do not leave the mop standing istationary on one spot as this could damage carpet fibres) Continuous movement is best! Why I Love This Steam Mop...
Well I think it was about 2 weeks after I had purchased my steam mop that one of my sons ( who shall remain nameless) lol, had a little spillage accident. He was carrying a plate with a couple of pieces of pizza down the stairs and was in a bit of a hurry! Suddenly the pizza went shooting of his plate and landed upside down and splattered on about 4 stairs. We have a fairly light colored mushroom/taupe carpet on the stairs and needless to say his mom (oh, that's me) is a bit of a clean freak! Okay, my first reaction was "Ohhhhhhhh, my goodness, that better come out! " Not really sure if it would! Pizza sauce in large spots covered quite a good area on the stairs! I ran and grabbed my steam mop and went over the spots several times, it did take a little time as pizza sauce is pretty nasty to remove, but I got it all off and was so happy! Now you still can't tell which stairs had it on! So if you're wondering if this mop really works! Here's my proof! If you have little ones that spill alot, I definitely recommend this product! It is well worth the money! (Wish I had taken a picture of the mess, but I'm sure I was too upset to think of that at the time) :-)

- Yes, it works great on laminate flooring - I just make sure that I don't let the floor get too wet and I keep one cleaning pad just for my Pergo floor. I also try not to let the steam mop sit in one spot for too long while I'm using it on my Pergo.
