We Like Chemical Free Cleaning
Chemical Free, in my mind, is the practice of using products that you can safely allow your children to pitch in on the household chores. Ultimately, whatever we use in our homes will impact our health, our children's health, and our pets health as well.
It is big news that the inside of our homes can contain many times more toxins than the outdoor air even in a polluted area. We are continually bombarded with new cleaning products, air conditioners, pest control products, and even personal care items that are packed with ingredients that we wouldn't dare use if we only knew what was in them.
This lens will review steam mop systems and present a reality check (customer reviews, quality comparison, reasonable expectations, and cost comparisons) so we can determine the best value for the money.

I agree with 'what people are saying'. I personally like this model the best for any steam cleaning job. It is affordable, will last a long time, and can be used for most residential needs.
Although it will not suck up the water, it seems to have the best steaming action. I also own the mini shop vac which I use to extract water. So, if you have a very BIG Job to do, pair this up with the Mini Shop Vac and you'll have everything you need.

When I was younger I did all my floors on my hands and knees, but now I use a mop. I wish I could remember the company who made a steam mop that I used at a client's house last year. You didn't have to use distilled water. It did leave some streaks on wood though :(

I just purchased the Shark portable steam pocket and I have to say that it did a really good job on the floors even with the hubby using it. Our floor space in the house is small enough that I don't see myself purchasing a separate mop, but we'll just keep using the pocket on our hands and knees.
Since this is leaning towards the steam mixed with hands and knees, I'll put this under the steam mop option :)

I bought a steam mob from Danoz Direct for $200 and it is a dud. There is hardly any steam and cleaning the floors is not as simple as they make out, Just bought an old fashioned mop to use with a bucket and that works well.

- I have a shark vac then steam, so it sweeps up the floor than does the mopping. I just got it, but I've heard wonderful things about it. So excited to have truly clean floors!

- I have been fussing with my husband for over a year about wanting a steam mop.He refused to let me have one saying it would damage the floors.We went to visit with our neighbors and they had bought a Shark steam mop and showed told my husband that it worked great! My husban went and bought me a Shark Steam Mop for Cristmas..... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!! I have recommened everyone in our family to go and bu them one.Now I am working on the Shark Vacum Cleaner, WISH ME LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!
