Do you have a Cosco Step Stool?

I am looking for this exact stool/chair, BUT...most of the reviews are NOT positive. It is made in China (Gee, what a surprise), it is NOT high quality, and NOT like *Grandma's* from way back when....when it was built much sturdier. So, I guess there are no other options and the costco brand seems to be THE only choice, so guess I'll just look for a stool that will accomodate me & my butt so I can sit and cut up veggies for a salad cuz it takes me so long as I'm disabled and just cannot stand for very long. Anyone else have any opinions on this stool or that have purchased this...or a suggestion as to what kind of stool would benefit me and be comfortable.

Not exactly but my steop stool is similar. Bought it for my youngest daughter when she was about 4 years so she could keep tabs on me while cooking, She has turned 40 and it is still the best piece of furniture in the house. Love it and love this lens. Thanks shorty hahaha, I think that applies to me too. Hugs

My grandmother had one of these and now Mom has one. It's like an old familiar friend when I see it in her kitchen. Very practical and nostalgic.

My grandma had a stool something like that one! Hey, gal, we must be related as I read, "I'm getting shorter. That's the only possible explanation I can come up with." Me too!!

I don't, but I remember my grandmother having one. So cool to see it again. :)

I do not have one, but I definitely remember these chairs. I didn't realize they were even still available. Awesome. Like you, I often feel like I am getting shorter. Either that, or I can no longer stretch as far as I could when I was younger. I have a step stool and a 3 step ladder that I keep in my kitchen now. I have been know to walk across my kitchen counter too :) I do kind of miss the days of being able to leap and jump onto the counter without the aid of a step. I like this chair step stool better than just a step stool. It is cuter in the kitchen and provides a place to sit when it is not in use as a step stool.

    * Blessed by a SquidAngel * for making me smile! We grew up with a grey one, and Gma had one. I always thought the steps were a seat for little kids when I was that small! Thanks for the memories. I also LOVE you intro box and type - I would love to learn how to do that!

I don't know of any company that manufactures mats and end caps specific for the stool. You should be able to find end caps that would work at any hardware store. The mats, well I would buy a black door mat and cut them to fit. It's not perfect but it should work.

Thanks - I found the caps at the store but you are right - I will probably have to make my own mats. Thanks!!!

These are very useful. I needed one yesterday and I'm well over six feet tall.
