About actors.

Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell was born and raised in Irvine, California, the son of Kay (née Overman), a teacher, and Lee Ferrell, a keyboardist for The Righteous Brothers. He has Irish ancestry. He first attended elementary school at Turtle Rock Elementary School, and later attended Rancho San Joaquin Middle School, both in Irvine, CA. He attended University High School in Irvine, CA, and was a kicker for the school's varsity football team. He told the Orange County Register that the dullness of Irvine contributed to the growth of his humor. "Growing up in suburbia, in safe, master-planned Irvine, there was no drama so we had to create it in our heads. My main form of entertainment was cracking my friends up and exploring new ways of being funny. I didn't have to have the survival mode instinct like other comics, who grew up in tough neighborhoods. I had the opposite. For me, I grew up in Mayberry, and the humor broke the boredom. And there was a lot to make fun of."

He enrolled at the University of Southern California, where he studied Sports Broadcasting and graduated with a degree in Sports Information. He is also a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. After graduating in 1990, he developed his improvisation skills as a member of the comedy group The Groundlings.

Ferrell has worked as a voice actor in several animated television programs, including his portrayal of a 1950s-style father in the animated television series The Oblongs. He has had several guest appearances on Family Guy, where he played the Black Knight in "Mr. Saturday Knight", as well as Fat Greek Guy and Miles "Chatterbox" Musket in "Fifteen Minutes of Shame". Ferrell also starred as Ted (a.k.a. The Man in the Yellow Hat) in the movie Curious George.

John C. Reilly

Reilly, the fifth of six children, was born in Chicago, Illinois to an Irish American father and a Lithuanian mother. His father owned a linen supply company. He was raised a Catholic and graduated from Brother Rice High School. Reilly had several minor infractions for juvenile mischief. To better occupy his time, he later became involved with theatre. He subsequently enrolled at the Goodman School of Drama, at DePaul University. A proud member of the Chicago theater, Reilly credits the Windy City with helping him gain experience as he was working for his big break.

Reilly made his film debut in the Brian De Palma film Casualties of War (1989) as PFC Herbert Hatcher.[6] Although the role of Hatcher was written as a small one, De Palma liked Reilly's performance so much that the role was significantly expanded.

Reilly has consistently appeared in film since his debut; he has appeared in an about 50 roles since 1989, mostly supporting roles.

Reilly has been married since 1992 to Allison Dickey, whom he met on the set of Casualties of War. He is also very good friends with Paul Thomas Anderson. Reilly is a vegetarian and resides in Los Angeles.

Aren't they funny together?

Important!

Amazing!

When I wrote this lens I discovered one thing and I have something to proud: John C. Reilly's mother is lithuanian. Just like me! :)

To be perfectly honest, I have not yet seen it. However, just about every movie Farrell and Reilly have been in were never a disappointment. They always manage to get some gut wrenching, doubled over, and can't breathe type laughter out of me.

Berta says:

It was one of the best comedies ever for me :)

No, I hate it

This one belongs in the funny movie hall of fame! The drum set scene was just ridiculously funny! Another all time favorite of mine is Black Dynamite. http://www.squidoo.com/black-dynamite

Will and John are two of the most uncommonly funny guys ever to come out of Hollywood. I love their movies and they always get some belly aching laughter out of me. Great review.
